2016 Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz met July 15, 2015 at Trump Tower in New York City. Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler said they had a “very friendly” meeting about a wide variety of topics.
Sen. Ted Cruz had a busy Wednesday.
After starting his morning in Washington with a promise to do whatever he could the keep the Export-Import bank dead and buried, he went north to New York.
His first stop was CNBC’s Delivering Alpha conference, where he riffed again on his opposition to Ex-Im’s “crony capitalism” and called out big business for getting in bed with career politicians…in a room of Wall Street investors.
“Big business does great under big government,” said Cruz in an interview with CNBC’s John Harwood. He also claimed big banks had their fingerprints all over post-recession regulations, which he said purposefully drove small banks out of business.
Even so, he said many of the attendees weren’t complicit in everything he railed against.
“I think a lot of people in this room respect the dynamism of an economy,” said Cruz....

These two are the only ones showing a backbone. Walker is someone we have definitely financially supported for his time in Wisconsin, but with his hiring of the campaign manager that got Thad Cochran reelected this past time, and with his waffling on gays and the Boy Scouts (among other waffles), I have zero plans to support him now.

What’s with that sleeve length?
This could be a brilliant strategy by Cruz... get behind Trump as Trump soars. Then, when the egomaniac finally deflates, an inoculated Cruz takes the mantle and gets the nomination.
Or, Cruz is playing second-fiddle to Trump and never gets the lift needed to break off the pack as Trump, somehow, keeps on ticking.
I am hoping for the former.
I hadn't noticed, (not wearing my reading glasses) but you're right and yet, we have posters here, making claims that Mr. Trump hated President Reagan!
I just heard Trump interviewed (by phone) on Bill O’Reilly’s TV show. Bill was trying his hardest to trip up Trump on the issue of Islamic terrorism, but I thought Trump handled him quite well.
Is that an ‘I love me wall’? Or what?

Trump/Cruz or Cruz/Trump? I’m leaning toward Trump/Cruz...Evil has been running amok for far too long in this country and the world and what we need is an absolute bulldog like Trump. Can you imagine what his state of the union speeches would be like? The guy is a genius when it comes to speaking. Sheer razor sharp hardcore logic and common sense, and he crams it right down your throat and that’s exactly what this world needs right NOW.
