What a Trump-Cruz Alliance Could Mean for the GOP Race
Slate ^ | July 15, 2015 | Josh Voorhees

Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are set to huddle in private in New York City on Wednesday, but Trump claims that he’s not sure why he even agreed to the meeting. “I don’t know why I’m meeting him, to be honest, but I do have respect for him,” the real estate mogul said of his fellow White House hopeful during an MSNBC interview Wednesday. “I respect the fact that … he came out and he came out very strongly and agreed with what I said on illegal immigration. And he came out very strongly and he came out early, and I respect that. I like him.”

The face-to-face meeting at Trump Tower has prompted plenty of interest among campaign watchers, largely because any and everything Trump-related is currently prompting plenty of interest. Still, an informal Trump-Cruz alliance would not be something to snicker at. Despite Trump’s suggestion otherwise, both men have their own clear reasons to sit down with one another—and the simple possibility of a loose partnership between the two will only add to the GOP establishment’s Trump-related heartburn.

Already, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus has pleaded with the once-and-future TV reality star to tone down his inflammatory rhetoric on immigration. Cruz, though, is likely to stoke Trump’s fire. While most of the crowded GOP field has run as fast and as far as they can away from Trump’s comments painting Mexican immigrants as rapists and murderers, the Texas senator has defended Trump at every turn....

They're just bound and determined to push John Ellis Bush to the nomination so that Hillary can beat him like a Persian rug.

I think it’s great Cruz and Trump are getting together...

Trump said: “I honestly don’t know why he’s coming here” meaning: “It’s none of your damn business”...I love the way Trump says it....refreshing, and down to earth...he talks TO us not AT us...

I hope the two of them hook up: Trump/Cruz or Cruz/Trump...would really drive the ‘spineless sissies’ insane...

It’s means the Establishment/Globalist are going to crap in their pants.

A Trupp/Cruz ticket is the Establishment.

The fact that the radical far left wing sources say Hillary’s biggest fear is Jeb Bush, and her least fear is Donald Trump is laughable. First, the radical far left is not going to try to help Republicans get elected. Second, this means it’s just the opposite. Hillary FEARS Donald Trump, and hopes she has a WEAKLING like Jeb Bush.

In post #6 I meant to say,

“A Trump/Cruz 2016 ticket is the Establishment/Globalist worst nightmare”

“Trump/Cruz or Cruz/Trump...would really drive the ‘spineless sissies’ insane...”

That would be satisfying to witness for sure.

But this alliance or merger or joining forces - if it becomes reality - is our last best hope to save this nation.

Millions would immediately be energized and motivated to action. There will be real hope of returning us to the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Trump has support of a ton of dems, blacks, legal immigrants and anyone opposed to illegals and the problems they create.

Trump would win the immigrant vote.

Shrewd of Sen. Cruz. If the Donald is sucking up all the media coverage overshadowing all other candidates, then go to where the spotlight is shining and steal the show. Only Ted Cruz can out-troll Trump. ;)

I am happy he has glommed onto what the public wants. I wish I trusted him to actually govern that way. He still has time to convince me that he has changed his views on most everything over the last couple years.

When I think back on the pain of voting for McLame, and Mittens, I’ll push the button for Trump in a flash. That said Cruz is still my first choice.

I’m sorry but we are NOT going to have a country any more if the borders are not secured.

Every issue that has been a fight in the past will be gone along with the United States as we know it.

Illegal Immigration IS the number 1 political issue right now.

We are not going to win with some weak Republicans that are SCARED to speak up to the media, back off, give ground, cave and surrender to the media and to the DNC.

I’m sorry that is not the winning ticket.

Trump could win the Legal immigrat vote—and maybe some black votes too. We may never know what happens today—or at least till 2018—but it might be the start of something big that will see a rise in the Tea Party and a new Anti-RINO Republican movement. The Vichy GOP and the Progs are having a fit! for that alone—its worth it. Cut them Macy’s Cards! and support Trump—we have not seen his like before.

Agreed. All minorities that want to work and improve their station in life will support Trump. They also admire success which he personifies.

From the article:

Cruz likely won’t be able to topple Bush, Rubio, or Scott Walker in a one-on-one fight

He already topped Rubio's pitiful imploding campaign and he's coming for Booooshhhh and Walker next, what a load of crap.
