In Iowa, Perry seems to attract two kinds of supporters:

I Iowa, maybe. But I know in Texas there are many who are attracted to him for a variety of superficial reasons like his hair, both on his head and his chest. Yes, they are that shallow.

More like his supporters are “Dumb and Dumber”.

Compared to any conservative on this issue, Perry is a flaming liberal.

Agreed....he shoots a mean coyote though.

If he performs in the primaries like he did in 2012.....he'll have a short run.

Well, a state with a large electorate is going to show more superficiality because campaigns have to be mass media.

Iowa, a small caucus state, expects to see and hear a candidate face to face. Any candidate complaining about debate standards can work Iowa, New Hampshire and/or South Carolina county by county and build a base (relatively cheaply) the MSM can’t ignore. That’s why it’s a good idea for small states to go early, but the candidate can’t be lazy or believe himself entitled.

Cruz is smart.

Perry not so much.

Make it a federal law.....have all primaries for POTUS on the same day. You won’t have leftist gangs of scum going from state to state to vote multiple times and start trouble at the polls.

No, you wouldn’t have traveling fraudsters, but it would also require a serious candidate to have tens of millions of dollars before any primary vote was cast. It would cut out the suspense and give us the anointed RINO upfront. We’d have to quit dreaming about an upstart.

[But in spite of that fact he still has many supporters here at FR.]

They left Perry after the 2012 election to run with the Big Dog - TED CRUZ

Some have, sure. But many sided with Perry when he endorsed Dewhurst over Cruz and they are for La Raza Rick Perry still.

They like Perry's head and chest hair. And they think he looks "intelligent" with his new glasses. And they think he is "dreamy". I have seen them say all those things. They are incredibly superficial, and are no different, really, than those who voted for Obama because he is black.

“Donald Trump does not represent the Republican Party,” said former Gov. Rick Perry. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ You damn right he doesn't. That's why he is now leading in the polls. America is fed up with both Political Parties. We gave the GOP a chance in 2010 and 2014 and Harry Reid still runs the Senate, Nancy Pelosi still runs the House and Obama is still destroying this nation. So, America is saying screw the Republican Party and all the old, wrinkled-face, pain-pill poppin', has-been, prescription drug addicts ('script freaks) like Rick Perry, drunkards like John Boehner and cuckolds like Mitch McConnell. FURP! FUMM! FUJB!

Did anyone see the Press Conference Trump held yesterday with families whose children were killed by illegals? The Black gentleman whose teenaged, football player, Honor Student son was killed by an illegal said: “Donald Trump is telling the truth.” IMO, it would not be exploitation for Trump to make that into a Political Ad. That would give that fine young man a chance to speak from the grave and the family some relief in knowing that they helped shine the light on a tragic situation in this nation that needs to be corrected and corrected NOW!

Unless there is some sort on unforgivable scandal that encompasses Trump, he won’t be stopped by the GOP-e. If they(GOP-e) cheat Trump out of the nomination then Trump will form a third party.
