Trump Is Buying a New Hampshire Campaign Wholesale
National Journal ^ | 7/7/15 | S. V. Date

Maybe money can't buy happiness, but it sure can buy the framework of a presidential campaign.

Just ask Donald Trump. The real-estate developer-turned reality TV star has never formally run for political office before, yet has put together a New Hampshire operation using a pretty simple plan: purchasing one off the shelf, in this case by hiring top staff away from Koch brothers-backed Americans for Prosperity.

Who said Trump is not serious about the run in 2016?

Maybe he’s serious about qualifying for Federal election funding.

I think the attacks by the Left had just the opposite of the desired effect on The Donald.

The Left is accustomed to their targets turning tail and renouncing their sins.

A person who actually fights back will be a new experience for them.

And The Donald does not allow himself to lose.

Cullen said he knows when the ride ends: Before the deadline, Trump will eventually have to file a financial-disclosure statement, under penalty of perjury, that details his assets and liabilities. At that point later this year when the last extension is exhausted, Cullen predicted, Trump will declare that the other candidates have adopted his positions and therefore he has accomplished his goals, and he will drop out.

I've heard others say this but I'm not sure about this. Hillary's statements are pretty vague and I think Trump can say "I'm worth somewhere between 1 million and nine billion and there's nothing they can do about it.

Attacks from the GOP as well and former business associates so PC, pro-illegal alien and so completely cowardly that they won’t honor their contracts with Trump.

I am shocked by some comments that Trump is doing this to help his “friend” Hillary.

First of all a Billionaire businessman makes friends with all politicians who could affect his business interests.

Yeah tell me again, Trump hiring best staff he can find with money no object, losing Macy’s, NBC/MSNBC, Univision, PGA, LPGA, ESPN, NASCAR, the mattress outfit, etc is all for publicity?

So true. It’s only empowered The Donald even more.

"Fergus Cullen is a washed-up hack who attempts to find ways to stay relevant by talking out both his mouth and his butt," Lewandowski said. "Mr. Trump will meet all FEC disclosure deadlines without seeking an extension."

I would say Donald Trump is serious about evetything he does. He is not going to squander millions just to drop out. I would be surprised.

The left and the MSM may have toughened him up in a way Trump didn’t even anticipate.

Of course I could be wrong but I think Trump just doesn’t like losing and is sick of tired of seeing our country raided by imbeciles while the American brand has become so tattered. He has a lot of pride and figures he can do way better. He’s been complaining about our infrastructure/airports, etc for some time i.e LaGuardia compared to Shanghai.

Also, this is a big challenge - he’s made a ton of money already (we think) his kids are taking over the empire and this would be the pinnacle of his career - rescuing this country. He is a man of action.

Hope I’m not wrong.

How does it feel to know that I don’t give a crap what you think one way or the other about Trump?

Your opinion simply doesn’t matter to me. If you get the chance and he gets on a ballot for which you can cast a vote, then by all means do so. Odds are you’ll never see his name on one unless you write it in.

It is very refreshing to finally see a candidate appear on the scene, who will not back down, and actually double down when attacked by the media. A candidate who has name recognition in spades, and one who knows to hone on to the most critical issue facing the country...ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS BY THE MILLIONS!

Rush just described Trump’s interview on MSNBC. Go find that archive and find out how Trump defended the 2nd amendment. This dude has no fear of the media.

I hope the GOPe does not make the fatal mistake of telling Trump he does not belong in the republican party.

Aria, when I turned age 70, my whole philosophy of life changed. I can easily understand why Trump has decided to run at age 69. He has already lived the most luxurious, and the most glamorous life any person can dream of living. Now he just might wish to do exactly what you said, to repair the tarnished American brand. May it is giving something back to the country which made him rich and famous. I am giving him the benefit of doubt.

What you said hurt my feelings! But I will try to get over it :)

Of course no one can be sure who will remain in the race and who won’t. A whole year to go before the GOP convention. In the meanwhile, I am thoroughly enjoying the fearless response by Trump to attacks from the media. So different than McCain & Romney and the GOPe hope of 2016, Jeb Bush.
