Ted Cruz is obeying Ronald Reagans 11th commandment: never criticize a fellow Republican.
Cruz refused to jump on the bandwagon of those looking to condemn fellow GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump over a comment he made about Mexicans entering the country illegally.
I salute Donald Trump for focusing on the need to address illegal immigration, Cruz said. The Washington cartel doesnt want to address that.

Cruz refused to take the bait from NBC host Chuck Todd in an early release of a clip from Meet the Press to be aired Sunday.
I like Donald Trump, Cruz told Todd. Hes bold, hes brash, and I get it that it seems the favorite sport of the Washington media is to encourage some Republicans to attack other Republicans.
I aint going to do it, he added. Im not interested in Republican-on-Republican violence.
When asked whether rhetoric matters, Cruz said the business magnate has a colorful way of speaking.
Its not the way I speak, he said. But Im not going to engage in the medias game of throwing rocks and attacking other Republicans. Im just not gonna do it.
Reagan would be proud of him.
Cruz is not only the smartest in the huge field of candidates, but he’s also the classiest.
It bears repeating.....so I repeated it.
I guess they haven't noticed how counterproductive such tactics have proven around here in the past.
But they should've at least noticed that Cruz himself is making a conscious effort to avoid criticizing his fellow republicans and if for no other reason than shame refrain from the usual partisan sniping.
Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton provide a study in contrast.
Ted is pointed and factual. Hillary is vague and loose with truth.
Ted’s points are crisp and well supported. Hillary rambles and never answers questions.
Ted stands for a set of principles. Hillary stands for election.
Ted looks like he is ready to rumble. Hillary needs a nap.
Good for Cruz. Just about the only other Pub candidate that has cajones besides Trump. They’d make a great 1-2 ticket and I wouldn’t care which one was 1 or 2. The good guys. The rest of the Pubs are mediocre at best. Walker is okay, at the moment, unless he joins in on the Trump bashing re illegal aliens, and he might. You never know who’s going to turn on you.
...but ya gotta admit, his snuzzling up to The Donald isn’t the smartest tactic; it’ll likely bite him in the ass.
That’s shameful and an utterly negative practice.
I can’t imagine a better candidate and Lord knows we have plenty of candidates.
I like Governor Walker, too and I’m sure he’s going to announce.
I keep waiting for Senator Cruz to catch fire, but I know it’s MSM, including Fox News that’s keeping him down.
After the first debate, I expect him to sky rocket!
Hiya ErnBatavia!
No, I disagree!
Always, always, stand for the truth!
We’ve become accustomed to some RINO winning the primaries barely half way through all the state’s holding their primary elections. But we are still electing delegates to the RNC where they vote to elect the candidate.
If no RINO can win the vote splitting game again as McCain and Romney did, we might actually have three or four candidates go to the RNC with significant numbers of delegates. Then the voting would actually mean something.
Trump and Cruz might go to the RNC with significant delegates and in position to throw support to one or the other to pick the winner and make deals.
An alliance may be forming.
“An alliance may be forming.”
If so, it may be most formidable one in history!
Cruz is playing this very well. Trump is running interference for him and he is remaining classy by following Reagan’s 11th.
Precisely!
Maybe Ted and Donald could work together a little more?
Certainly couldn’t hurt.
THATS what you call COURAGEOUS CONSERVATISM
TRUMP n TED
T n T
An explosive mix. Demonrats don’t know what to do with folks who don’t back down and stay on the damn offense.
UUUURURRRRAAAHHHH
Cruz/Trump Ticket?
