LOL, you decided to just make up a post for me, did you?

You also did what I thought you would do, not be able to differentiate between national defense spending, and all of government spending.

I think the prudent thing to do would be for a C. of C., when we finally get one, should sit down with his most experienced Generals and ask them for a Strategic Plan to bring about the specific objective that he sets.

I wouldn’t presume to know what that strategy would be, but I believe our military is capable of delivering anything required of them. I think Special Forces and Air Power on a massive scale will figure in prominently.

There are people here who do not care how many Americans are killed or how much money is spent so that one sect of Islam or another sect of Islam wins (temporarily) in a given part of the Middle East.

Nope, no lie, it is what you posted.

Perhaps you can point out the active duty freepers who agree with you about there being such people here at FR?

How many do you think are here that don't care about our people dying? All of the Reaganites? all of the conservatives? All of those who call Rand Paul a "Surrender Monkey"?

We need more military muscle, and much more manpower to face what is coming, or to delay, or reduce the coming threats.

Electing another Obama like Rand Paul, on defense, would put the world and America, under grave threat.

You edited what I posted .. you left part of it out.
Lying by omission is still lying

I believe you have a history of this ... I believe we have had this conversation before ... something about bearing false witness.

I think that a fast, hard initiative with massive airstrikes and Special Forces assigned to key missions in the areas of ISIS control will figure prominently.

I think we allow this cancer that is ISIS to grow at our peril. The stronger they get, the more at risk we are here. As their controlled territory grows, so will their influence and ability to recruit. When an entity’s stated goal is to destroy your country and to kill as many Americans as possible, to allow that threat to grow unchecked is foolish. This is the time to crush it.

Ok so then the Shia will have the upper hand instead of the Sunnis. How is this in our interest?

How is it in our interest whichever sect of ISLAM has the upper hand in a particular geographic area. Particularly since they each have hated each other and killed each other for over 1,000 years.

Can you explain to me which sect of ISLAM is the best and why we should fight to make sure that sect has the upper hand?

What makes you think that our military would be fighting over which sect of Islam controls which territory. Our military would be there to take out the Radical Islamic Terrorist who threaten us and all free nations. Do you not get that their stated objective is to destroy this country and kill as many of us as possible?

Our military is not confused about what our mission should be and we don’t need another President who is either. No Rand Paul!

Your obscene claim about freepers not caring about how many of out military dies, is a disgusting lie, as a vet I find your insults against freerepublic and freepers and conservatives, disgusting.

Perhaps you can point out the active duty freepers who agree with you about there being such people here at FR?

I don’t care about Rand Paul one way or the other

We are taking sides over which sect of ISLAM controls which territory. That’s what it comes down to. ISIS is Sunni. They are attacking and killing mostly Shias whom they hate with a vengeance.. This is a blood feud that has been going on for over 1,000 years!

If we take part in this fight we are taking sides ... either we want Shia to have the upper hand or we want Sunni to have the upper hand. One or the other. That is in effect what we are doing. Either way we are supporting a sect of ISLAM and helping it to have the upper hand in a particular geographic area.

OK, there is one other choice. We could be joining the fight to make Sunni and Shia hold hands and sing Kumbaya together. That’s only a marginally more stupid objective than supporting one side or the other.

No, it is the typical Paul supporter.

I believe that you are an old Ron Paul/Gary Johnson/Rand Paul kind of guy, aren’t you?

We’re not talking about an Islamic sect or multiple Islamic sects.! For crying out loud! We’re talking about a Radical Islamic Terrorist group that is politically driven to spread a Caliphate throughout the world. Those that don’t submit to it will be executed! At least get a clue as to who our enemy is and what their goal is, our destruction!

Again, your disgusting lies undermine your case.
You can disagree with me but making up what I said is hurting your cause ... you always end up doing this and have for years. Why do you do it?

If active duty Freepers want to come on this thread and tell me which sect of ISLAM is best and which one they want to gain the upper hand in which region and WHY ... I welcome them doing that. I’d love to hear their explanations. Where are these people?

In any case, active duty military go fight where they are told to fight. They don’t get a say. And since we are all volunteer military, if we keep telling them to go fight for stupid stuff, my concern is that they will opt to vote with their feet and leave the military. And then we will not have a strong military because we made people do stupid stuff and fight for ISLAM either way.

But hey, I could be wrong. Let the active military people come on here and tell me why they would want to go fight so that Shia gets the upper hand or Sunni gets the upper hand. I’d love to know WHY either one is worth fighting for. There might be a good reason, but I don’t see it. Either way, whichever sect of ISLAM gets the upper hand they both HATE AMERICA. Example: Iran is mostly Shias, and they call us the great Satin. So OK, let’s fight for a sect that calls us that ... that makes as much sense as fighting for the Sunnis ... which is to say it makes no sense at all.

They want to spread a Sunni caliphate throughout the world ... starting in the Muslim world, which is vast.

Why do we care which one does it. Do you know how many caliphates there have been over history? Do you know how many times areas that are now in the former Syria and the former Iraq have changed hands over the centuries?

They seemed to be able to fight each other fine on their own for hundreds and hundreds of years before there even was a USA to come in and fight for them. Why does one side or the other need our help now? Why should we give it?

All ISLAM wants our destruction. But first they want to kill each other some more as they have done for over 1000 years.

I think it is you who needs to get a clue. Pick up a history book.

The obtuseness of your comments and the lack of understanding that they demonstrate is truly astonishing. As a mother of a Marine who died defending this country, I find your remarks totally offensive.

At this point I can only wonder if an effectual lobotomy is a requirement or a result of being a Rand Paul supporter.

I’m not a Rand Paul supporter and my arguments have nothing to do with Rand Paul ... or any other candidate.

Insults do not constitute a valid point.

Oh and of course, we cannot offend anyone anymore. Not PC at all, can’t have that. I should probably be in prison or at least fined for offending someone. Liberals argue that at least.

Obviously, you would not know a valid point if it bit you in the behind. It is a shame that good men and women died for your freedom to spew such utter tripe.

If other wars and battles had not been fought throughout history to fight back those caliphates, you’d be wearing a burka and keeping your female mouth shut right now.
