Huh?
If they try to make a caliphate in the USA I’d pick up a gun and fight myself. Over there ... they have been at this for 1000 years and you somehow think we are going to go over there and stop a 1000 year old blood feud? Or we’re going to go over there and stop them from being Muslim? What is your point?

Irrational.

Disgusting lies?

Quoting you?

"There are people here who do not care how many Americans are killed or how much money is spent so that one sect of Islam or another sect of Islam wins (temporarily) in a given part of the Middle East. Perhaps you can point out the active duty freepers who agree with you about there being such people here at FR?

How many do you think are here that don’t care about our people dying? All of the Reaganites? all of the conservatives? All of those who call Rand Paul a “Surrender Monkey”?

Have you already served in the military?

Again, not what I said.

They don’t care that we are asking our military men and women to fight and die for ISLAM (one sect or another). How do I know this? Because they are begging for the USA to get involved and take sides between different sects of ISLAM. That’s how I know they think American lives are worth losing taking sides in a religious sectarian ISLAMIC fight.

It’s self evident. If you’re asking people to go fight it means some of them will die. So you are asking them to fight in an ISLAMIC religious civil war ... that’s what you are asking them to lay down their lives for.

Let’s get this straight. I AM NOT asking our young men and women to do that. Other people apparently are. They apparently think those lives are worth that particular cause ... I do not. I am extremely opposed to asking people to die for that.

My other concern is if we keep asking our military to fight for stupid stuff like one sect of ISLAM or another then they will stop volunteering.

No, I have not ever been in the military. And neither were millions of Americans civilians who still joined in the war effort for wars worth fighting for such as WWII.

Military personnel do not get a say on who they fight and why. Which is why we need to be extra special triple, quadruple sure we are not asking them to die for stupid stuff.

WE can stop the Radical Islamic terrorist groups like ISIS. They are operating in the open right now because they know their Brother in the White House is all for them.

Beyond stopping the radicals and crushing their Training Camps, drying up their funding, and wiping out every last one of the radicals who want to attack us, I could not care less about their religious squabbles among themselves.

Was that a struggle between Islamic sects that brought about 9/11? No it was Radical Islamic Terrorists doing what they intend to do again. Kill as many as they can here in the Homeland.

Within 60 miles of where I live there are two Islamic training camps. These cells and camps exist in all 50 states. They receive their orders from ISIS. We have to kill the snake by cutting off it’s head. Without that leadership, and weaponry, they are disorganized and ineffective.

Currently they are emboldened and that is very dangerous for us.

We cannot eradicate radical Islamism.
It’s always been around for over 1000 years.

What we can do is make our borders safer and fight against terrorist attacks at home. I’m all for that.

But when they are killing each other in an age old blood feud? I don’t see why we should take sides in that. For one thing it drains their resources (provided we quit stupidly giving them arms and training) so that they have fewer resources to attack the USA.

Whichever side gains the upper hand (it does not matter) there will always be a radical portion willing to attack us. That’s a given. Taking sides in their fight is not going to change that.

It is what you said, “”There are people here who do not care how many Americans are killed””.

You claim that freepers don’t care how many of our friends and children and moms and dads die.

Have you been in the military? You just said that you would be the first to grab your gun and fight, at least if they come to your house, sort of like delivery.

So you have probably pulled a hitch in the military already, correct?

You never went in the military, but now you are ready to fight.

“”If they try to make a caliphate in the USA I’d pick up a gun and fight myself””

You just want to be Jimmy Carter until they come to your house, then suddenly you will become a National Defense conservative, got it.

You are a hero, and Reagan conservatives don’t care how many of our military dies.

You are despicable liar and a terrible debater. However, I don’t take it personally as I’ve seen you do this to many other posters here as well. You have a reputation.

Everyone can read my posts and see exactly how I laid out my case. They can then agree or disagree, doesn’t matter.

This is not a debate society, and what lie are you talking about?

Why can’t you point out the lie?

We need to be strong at home and pay attention to our borders, air, any training camps on our side of the globe etc.

Joining one side or the other is Syraq is not going to change that one bit. They are still going to come after us no matter what we do or don’t do in Syraq. Let’s just get that straight right now.

If Iran gets a nuke they are definitely coming after us (perhaps Israel first). That is true whether we fight ISIS or not. It’s a given.

Let’s keep our eye on the ball. It does not matter who gets the upper hand in Syraq. They are still coming after us either way.

How about we stop giving them weapons and training for a start? Can we agree on that at least?

I think that you have no idea about such matters, and that you simply want everything to be nice, and everyone just stay home and take live a nice life.

In what time in history was everything “nice”?
I’m a realist, not a utopian.

The idea that we can go over there and get involved in what is basically and Islamic civil war ... and this will somehow make us safer at home ... that’s not my argument, that seems to be yours and other people’s argument.

We are not safe and we never will be safe. Particularly with Islamic extremists ... they are always going to be after us regardless whether we are nice to them or not, help them fight their enemies or not ... doesn’t matter. A certain number of them are always going to try to attack us.

Maybe if we stop giving them weapons and training that would help slow them down some ... but no, we just HAVE TO arm one side or the other.

Always the same stupidity.

Rand Paul got some explaining to do of his support of Obama on Cuba and the Castro regime.

You are not a realist, you are a dreamer, you think that we can ignore them and everything will be fine, and if they show up at your house, you will pick up that gun that you never picked up for military service, and that you will then fight.

You think that all that is in the plans of the Middle East and Islam, is to resolve their local “civil war”, and that we can all live happily ever after, if we just don’t do anything.

Who said our strategy is to take sides? Our strategy is to wipe out ISIS. Will it stop Radical Islam for all time? Bo. But it will halt it’s growing danger in the world for many years. It will have to be done again, probably every thirty years or so, but it will prevent the threat from growing so large that it can’t be stopped.

In doing this, we will be fighting against attacks at home. Better to wipe out the source there than wait for them to hit us again here.

Like I said. I agree with Paul on 1 issue. The patriot act. I hate Castro and Cuba and would not vote for Paul.
