Sanders calls for parties to debate each other during primaries

Bernie Sanders is itching to debate and not just with other Democrats running for the party's presidential nomination. He says Democratic and Republican contenders should be debating each other during the primary season, too.

That shakeup is unlikely to happen — each party is planning its own debates, as usual. But the network news shows Sunday morning were something of a debating society of their own as 10 declared and likely candidates from both parties appeared in a parade of political argument and sound bites, touching on ISIS, personal ambition, immigration, hair color and more....

A Lincoln - Douglas style debate between Sanders and Rand Paul would be interesting.

What passes for a debate these days is boring and less than useless in determining what a candidate actually thinks.

Sanders is a traitor merely by existing. He ought not “call for” anything except his lawyer.

The GOP presidential contenders already debate Democrats....aka the media. So no need to debate Democrat politicians during the primaries.

If one LIV changes his/her mind because of the debate, then it is worth the inconvenience.

completely disagree....imagine the likes of Ben Carson, Ted Cruz and Scott Walker group debating bernie sanders, clinton and other demoKratic bafoons???

Not likely to happen.

Both of those men believed in and held sacred their honor

I am pretty sure Sanders holds nothing sacred.
