The 2016 Republican presidential field is shaping up into a legendary free-for-all, with polls showing the race wide open and more candidates expressing interest by the day. Will it be Jeb Bush who consolidates establishment support? Can Rand Paul or Ted Cruz break through with a powerful grassroots coalition? Could Scott Walker thread the needle between both sides? What about Marco Rubio?
And then theres the Democratic side. Will it be Hillary Clinton who prevails? Or will actually, you know what, it will probably just be Hillary Clinton.
While the former secretary of state hasnt even said whether shell seek the partys nomination, her overwhelming dominance in polls, organization and endorsements raises the question of whether the Democratic vacuum might drag the Republican primary into its orbit and even carry over into the general election.
Its a scenario that has veteran operatives from both parties talking in early primary and caucus states, where a Clinton coronation could prompt some less partisan voters to skip the Democratic contest and participate in the more competitive Republican race....

I shudder to think about a GOPe coronation.
Will this?
Will that?
Will anyone turn out to vote?
Bush/Clinton-Clinton/Bush
What Difference Does It Make?
Sarah Palin.
(just saying)
Like Dole and McLame, hitlery will be given “her turn” when there is hardly any chance.
The only one who could lose to Hillary is Jeb. That’s why he’ll be the GOP nominee.
If Hillary runs she will beat Jeb Bush. Same for Elizabeth Warren or Joe Biden. Jeb Bush is the Republican Nominee.
All we have to do is listen to Fox News,or Karl Rove, tell us who CAN WIN
If Jeb is the nominee, then the Karma Police should give it to hiltery.
You seriously think Jeb will end up as nominee? I do not.
2016 will not be the year of mushy metro.
This is what we call smart power, (Hillary Clinton) continued, using every possible tool and partner to advance peace and security, leaving no-one on the sidelines, showing respect, even for ones enemies, trying to understand and insofar as psychologically possible empathize with their perspective and point of view, helping to define the problems, determine the solutions.
That is what we believe in the 21st century will change, change the prospects for peace.
That’s what all the money players are betting millions on.
I did not think McCain could possibly be nominated in 2008 after authoring amnesty.
There will be an amnesty candidate for the GOP. If they can’t force Jeb on us, then they will settle for Walker.
I hope I’m wrong and the citizens can nominate Cruz, but the rules have been set by those in favor of an amnesty candidate.
The money players back both sides, just to make sure. Its just like any other investment, some work out some don’t. They can not be counted on when its nutcuttin time.
There’s a simple rubric that would halve the field and eliminate the worst offenders: no full-term governors.
