MIAMI — Black voters’ disappointment with President Barack Obama, who they so eagerly embraced for so many years, could be costly on Election Day to Democrats, who badly need a big African-American turnout to win Senate and gubernatorial races in key states.

Instead, many African-Americans see an unemployment rate well above the national average, continuing problems with crime in many neighborhoods, and a president more interested in trying to help other voting blocs that didn’t give him such unwavering support.

He talks about same-sex marriage in a nod to the gay and lesbian community. He discusses immigration and its benefits, an issue particularly important to the Latino community. He fights for equal pay, a vital issue to the women Democrats so avidly court.

The black community, which gave Obama support like no other group, too often doesn’t see the investment paying off.

“People in this community just don’t think anything is going to change,” said Akua Scott, a Miami-based labor organizer....

Why don’t you get your azz to work and forget about the color of your skin.

The rest of us never think about it until you bring it up and it has absolutely nothing to do with your ambitions, character, ethics or, really the lack of.

“Get a Dream!” man...

I thought we were all Socialists now?

And here it turns out we’re all just disillusioned! ;)

Another little secret is that BO’s Kenyan ancestors sold their west and central African ancestors into slavery.

Blacks are 99% for obola anyway, so why should obola want to court them with freebies? And the criminal behavior preceeded obola.

“People in this community just don’t think anything is going to change”

They're right.

Until they stop waiting for government.

Then they can get up off their lazy behinds, go to work and stay with the mother of their children.

Ebola should be a concern. It shouldn’t have been an issue, but our politicians’ arrogance, incompetence, an refusal to excercise proper authority allowed for it to come in and unleash loads of unnecessary fear and scares.

Why should he promise to do anything for them? Well over 90% of them vote for Democrats anyway.

“which gave Obama support like no other group, too often doesn’t see the investment paying off”

Cry me a river-that is what happens when one group buys into the belief that it is all about them.

Wasn’t it John Belushi’s character in Animal House who said (after they wrecked that car that belonged to a buddy’s brother) “you f***ed up-you trusted us”...

They need to be disappointed in the culture of dependence and whining. It just doesn’t work.

He sure doesn't act like he knows he is a lame duck. He acts like he will be forever president of the United States.

In my opinion the day of black gripes has arrived, but I don't think the day of a significant shift of black votes from Demoncrap to Republican has arrived.

I hope that he and his people try something that stupid. If even 5% of the population were to rebel there’s no force on Earth that could resist them. Remember: We’re the largest, best equipped Army in the world, right now, sitting in our homes, offices, factories, warehouses and clubs.

It doesn’t have to be “significant” to change an election at the local, district or even state level.

For all you FReepers who cheated, like I did, and read the entire article, you know the main gist of the article was “If Blacks don’t turn out and vote this year, Democrats are toast.” That was the main theme of the Article. But, be not deceived, Black “leaders” and “agitators” have been working for months to ensure that Blacks turn out for these Midterm Elections in 2014.

I know for a fact, that in Arkansas, there are “out of the way” store fronts with no signs saying that they are a Democrat operations. (11 of them across the State at last count.) They are working “stealth-like” to register Black voters, sign up Blacks for Absentee Ballots, assist in filling-out and mailing in Absentee Ballots, organizing GOTV efforts, drive people to the polls on Election Day.

Now, if they’re in AR, you know they are in other States as well. Are their efforts going to pay off? We’ll know on Election Night, Nov. 4th.
