At the beginning of the summer, the White House and Democrats on the Hill promised to highlight issues that were near and dear to the hearts of their core constituencies of single women, minorities, and young people.
To that end, they launched a series of attacks on Republicans: war on women, income inequality, exploiting racial tensions in Ferguson, and a promise from the president to take executive action on immigration.
None of those issues have resonated with their targets. The needle has hardly moved and it appears that Senate Democratic incumbents, as well as other Democratic congressional candidates, are going to pay the price for this miscalculation.
Recent polling suggests that the turnout for traditional Democratic groups for midterms will be even lower than it was in 2010 an ominous sign that the party will suffer another humiliating defeat....

another humiliating defeat....
There isn’t enough humiliation in the world for them.
Humiliation isn’t enough...
“I see dead people everywhere.”
May be laying low to give false confidence to the Republican Party so they don’t go to the polls. It will probably work on many of the little old ladies that don’t want to go anyway, paricularly if it’s rainy or any other form of bad weather.
On the other hand, here's recent evidence that Obama's media-driven rock star days are long over.

We need a House Committee on Un-American Activities (2014-15)
Led by Trey Gowdy
I don’t want to get my hopes up just yet. Dick Morris is predicting a GOP landslide, and we all know his track record of political prognostication.
Well, if we supposedly pulled off a humiliating defeat where are the spoils of victory? No, there was no defeat, look at who we have Beohner and the rest of them, sheeze, what a joke ..
So are a lot of other pollsters and analysts who got the last four or five cycles correct within a point or two.
Old people take exercising their civic duty quite seriously...I don’t think they skip voting lightly.
It’s a trick. Thousands of illegal immigrants will arrive on buses at 6:00 pm and get in front of all the other voters and vote how their handlers tell them to. They will be taken to the front of the line with their Democrat voter cheating guide and vote until close leaving none of the others a chance to vote. They will then leave to go back to their free room and board plus education and healthcare centers.
I have been reading the bleatings of the DemonRats in so many newspapers trying to convince people to turn out. It is so sad. NOT!
Electoral politics are presented as something resembling a sporting event, and with similar impact on our lives.
‘May be laying low to give false confidence to the Republican Party so they dont go to the polls.’
I don’t think so. The Dems/Obama inadvertently made this an election about safety. They threw open the borders, while allowing ISIS to flourish. Now criminals, gang members, potential Ebola carriers, enterovirus/paralysis/fatal respiratory carriers and terrorists are flooding in. & they expect women to care about the supposed war on them. The war is the open border, and voters will respond accordingly.
They don’t need increased turnout, they need increased voting. No correlation to the number of people that do vote.
Flat out wrong.
Organization, not enthusiasm, gets out their voters.
The drugs and money will flow and their voters will be there.
Also, in battleground Senate races, expect the highest negro turnout ever for a midterm.
A distant relative told me today that she had early voted republican for the first time in her life today.
She said its because the world is falling apart and the democrats are assaulting her about minimum wage and equal pay. She’s in her mid 70s.
