Im wondering where the American spirit is these days, because Im encountering conversations and commentary pushing the notion that Sarah Palin, a prominent conservative politician and noted tea party champion of We the People, should concede and hush her mouths for the sake of Republicanism.
Specifically, Im speaking of the former governors choice to proudly display some American spirit and tell Congress to impeach Barack Obama.
Yes, I am on the Palin bandwagon in this issue. Our country is at stake.
Sarah Palin is calling for Obamas impeachment, citing the immigration crisis as the last straw that makes the battered wife say no mas. Barack Obama has proven time and again that he couldnt care less about American principles, laws, or citizens. Impeachment has been the rally cry of conservatives for a few years, even from prominent leaders like Allen West and other congressmen. Barack Obama needs to go or we forfeit America.
The title of a Facebook group Im a member of hits the nail on the head: Its America or Obama; it Cant be Both. (Exactly, GOP.)
My colleague Lloyd Marcus, black conservative patriotic songwriter and chairman of Conservative Campaign Committee PAC, is one who proudly stands with Sarah Palin...

Even if the GOP gets a supermajority in the midterms, I still wouldn’t hold my breath.
Impeachment is on paper, having nothing to do with removal from office, as we saw with Clinton, and certainly with a Reid senate it dies on the vine under gales of laughter at the very prospect.
So we wait for November victories to impeach and risk Hillary returning the favor (with the sure backlash) by getting herself elected in ‘16.
The risk may be worth it. If ever removal was due a prez this one is due.
Can we not wait 3.5 months to do this? Why hand the RATS ammo to shoot us with in November?
The MenSeekingMen are goading us into impeachment critical mass when nobody trying to win November is really advocating it.
DON’T TAKE THE BAIT.
We all heard Boener clearly. He doesn’t agree with Palin on impeachment. What that really means is that Boehner won’t impeach a black democrat president for any crimes he’s committed or will commit going forward. He won’t even try because of his skin color. Boehner’s a chicken $hit coward and should be run out of DC on a rail.
Mr. Obama is black?!
There is a tide of unease and discontent across the land, but it is unorganized and unfocussed. Most people are not attentive enough to realize the source of their discontent. They need the leadership of a loyal opposition to define it for them.
By holding a serious discussion about what constitutes abuse of power, the premier "high crime" for which impeachment was instituted, we can help concentrate the peoples' thinking on core issues of governance and not trivial crap like race.
This is a time for adult discourse, not shouting and screaming sound bites at each other. Many "opinion leaders" like talk show hosts and pundits are not capable of this task. It will require proven leaders, men like Cruz, Walker, etc, who can make the case in historical terms without making it a personal vendetta against Obama.
We need 2/3 of the senate for removal from office...not gonna happen, even after November.
Exactly!
But for those who want to draw impeachment blood for history, like WJC (and I’m one of them) let’s wait just a few more months. Patience.
I say that we. the people demand it. The republicans need to know that it is more than a select few, and I’m sick of the moderates trying to publicly shame conservatives by saying that nobody of consequence is asking for impeachment. Maybe in YOUR world, but we here in flyover country have had enough. We know that YOU are not hurting and could care LESS about the policies being put forward to take our money, our civil liberties and our God-given ones.
The republicans tried to impeach Clinton on non-impeachable things. It was stupid at its best. Obama has given us and the Constitution the middle finger salute dozens of times, and he’s pretty sure Congress does not have the will to rein him in, so he continues on. It is up to us, the people, to demand something be done. I know that Harry Reid is not willing to move on article of impeachment, but there should be such a demand and threat of push-back against that he sweats more than a little!
I still say INDICT him. A pen, a phone and a race card was never meant to be able to trump the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights in America. That’s a third world Kenyan thing.
