A Christie victory could transform national Republican Party (RINOs and CINOs unite!)
The Washington Times ^ | November 4, 2013 | Seth McLaughlin

Move to the right or try to pull the GOP away from the tea party and toward the center? That is the question Gov. Chris Christie will face if he trounces his way to victory Tuesday in New Jersey’s gubernatorial race and turns his attention to the prospect of a 2016 presidential bid.

Some Republicans watching the final stages of the governor’s race say a decisive Christie win will send a message to the national party that the GOP can triumph without catering to the far right.

Polls show Mr. Christie, who opposed the partial federal government shutdown last month, is poised for a huge victory over his Democratic opponent, state Sen. Barbara Buono, and big-money Republican donors say the victory will become a rallying point as they battle Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and his tea party allies for tactical supremacy in Congress and for the upper hand in jockeying for the 2016 presidential nomination.

“His actions have galvanized the mainstream of the Republican Party to wake up and say, ‘We need to do something to get this party back,’” said Bobbie Kilberg, a top fundraiser who blamed Mr. Cruz and his allies for tarnishing the GOP image with the 16-day shutdown.

“I think Chris Christie has always been good for mainstream center-right Republicans, and I think this reaffirms that,” Ms. Kilberg said. “I think he is one of the rare officeholders in America today who has across-the-board appeal, and if the Republican Party is going to win back the presidency, they have to have broader appeal, not just speak to a narrow base.”(continued)

He may triumph in New Jersey, but that is a far cry from triumph in the United States. He is a Republicrat in a Democrat State in New Jersey. We don’t need a Republicrat as President.

Bush, Bush, Dole, Bush, Bush, McCain, Romney. See anything wrong with this pattern?

I am quickly losing hope. This non-stop media push for Kris Krispy is very similar to the non-stop media push for Romney. In 2010 when they were doing this, I knew for certainty that Romney would be the nominee and there was nothing anybody could do about it, and here in 2013, I know with certainty that it will be Krispy, unless he keels over with a heart attack, in which case the media will push somebody equally awful.

Only Northeast Liberals think the Moonies owned Wash Times is conservative

Liberal Media and RINOs are deathly afraid of a conservative movement

New Jersey Liberals like Christie are unelectable nationally

MSM is pushing Crispy Creme so we can have either our third looser in a row or someone compliant enough in the WH to facilitate the continued drift of the nation to a fascist police state.

REAGAN was our last Republican president. But that doesn’t mean Gov. Krispy Crisco will be the Rep nominee, not after his boardwalk bromance with Obama (see Glenn Beck youtube vid for details).

Ted Cruz for our NEXT Republican president!

Romney won the governor’s race in Mass...and that worked out well.

I am voting in NJ today.
I plan on leaving the top of the ticket box empty
No agreeable options are on the ballot.

Conservatives in NJ; Keep Christie in NJ.
Don’t vote for him !!

They keep missing the part where they explain how the base suddenly realizes that socialism under a Republican is a good thing and gives up all their rights to enjoy tyranny by Democrat lite.

Like Giuliani, Christie will not play well west of the Alleghenies and south of the Rappahannock. However, if you have a field filled with conservative hopefuls and maybe a libertarian or two, he could win by dint of heavy funding, MSM exposure, and the support of the country club Republicans that dominate the political machines, even in Southern states like South Carolina and Texas, he could win the nomination. Christie will have the same problem that Romney and McCain had: firing up a disenchanted conservative base. He had better hope the Democrats run an old war horse like Biden or Hillary Clinton, both of whom will not inspire the liberal base like Obama did.

Don’t lose hope. This constant choosing of our candidates by the elite should fire us up and make us even more determined to not let the past be repeated. We as conservatives must live and breathe politics for the next two years. The fate of our country depends on it. Get busy and get involved and get Ted Cruz nominated.
