Mayor Bloomberg of New York has made a claim that 7 children are murdered with a gun every day of the year. (2555) For the purpose of determing children, the numbers are usually ages 1 through 14. But according to Center For Disease Control and Prevention's 2011 National Vital Statistics Report, the number of children murdered between the ages of 1 and 4 are 370 for the country. Mursers of children 5 to 14 is 269. And that's all murders, not just gun deaths.Therefore the number of children killed would be less than 1.7 a day.

When liberals decry “children” being killed by guns, they include teenagers in with “children”, including teenagers who are in youth gangs. That really muddies the waters, because they are including people prone to violence, such as gang members, along with innocent people.

I am pretty sure Bloomberg’s “statistics” include anyone under 21 and perhaps fudged up to 22.
They are not actually lying because that takes some discrimination between facts and fantasy. To liberals there is no difference and facts are what suit the story line.If a Liberal thinks it, he thinks it is fact. Reality is, after all, a mental construct.

I recall one anti-gun study that described anyone aged 25 or less as a "child" for their purposes. Sounds like Bloomberg just did the same.

If it turned out that all of them are gang bangers we should make it a goal to double the yearly quota.
The U.S. is third in murders throughout the world. If you remove Chicago, Washington, D.C., New Orleans and Detroit then the U.S. is fourth from the bottom. These are four cities with the toughest gun laws in the nation and, of course, these are four cities ruled by Democrats.
