Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) said Tuesday that the United States had the right to take preemptive military action against North Korea if there was "solid evidence" that Kim Jon Un planned to attack the U.S. or South Korea.
"If we have good reason to believe there's going to be an attack, I believe we have the right to take preemptive action," King said on CNN's "Erin Burnett Outfront."
"I don't think we have to wait until Americans are killed or wounded or injured in any way," he continued. "I'm not saying we should be rushing into war, don't get me wrong, but if we have solid evidence that North Korea's going to take action, then I think we have a moral obligation and an absolute right to defend ourselves."
Tensions in the region have deteriorated in recent weeks, with Pyongyang announcing Wednesday that it had barred South Korean workers from a jointly run industrial zone on the border between the two countries....

“”If we have good reason to believe there’s going to be an attack, I believe we have the right to take preemptive action,” King said on CNN’s “Erin Burnett Outfront.””
This guy missed a wonderful opportunity to say nothing at all. He really does represent the United States government. Therefore his statements can be legitimately used by NK to justify whatever the heck they want to.
Shouldn’t we wait for Zer0 to call a beer summitt first? Geez!
And pigs'll fly outa' mine.
The sock-puppet Obambi's handlers won't do $hit. After all, it's a commie regime . . . maybe do some saber rattling . . . It certainly won't be up to the skinny homo-leaning twink living in our White House . . . it'll be up to his handlers to take action . . . and they won't.
....”the United States have the right to take preemptive military action against North Korea if there was “solid evidence” that Kim Jon Un planned to attack the U.S. or South Korea.”.....
So what evidence do they consider “solid”?
Agreed. It wasn’t deserving of a headline.
Frankly, I am a proponent of a real preemptive strike, meaning take them out before they ever get the chance in the future. They have threatened us very directly.
So, we’re going to preemptively attack North Korea because their irate leader ran out of cake, but we’re not going to strike the nuclear sites of the Islamonazis in Tehran?
Mr. King, I think you’re predicting the future here. Obama’s looking for his ‘Kosovo’. I guarantee if Obama had been president during WWII, he would have declared war on Spain instead of the axis powers.
Meanwhile the Canadians seem to want to blame this all on the USA and they’re trotting out their anti-US and anti-missile defense sentiments again.

Obama will only try to get as much out of this as he can ,while doing NOTHING
Obama be fund raising today and tomorrow in San Fran...he is very busy
And the Houston Astros could win the World Series.
NK is obviously led by one or more criminally insane people. A wrong move from this bunch is almost a sure thing. Fear - paranoia - is probably the only thing keeping a check on them.
IN the US we have the dithering, cowardly Obama who can barely spell “military” & certainly not “preemptive”. He is most likely to error badly on the side of caution, failing to act in a timely and/or adequate manner to defend SK & Japan. The consequences could be catastrophic.
I can't speak to the competence & wisdom of the Chinese leadership, but I doubt they will stand idly by if a war begins. Their decisions could start or prevent WWIII.
