Scarborough: Palin represented a time in politics that is passing us very quickly
MSNBC's Morning Joe ^ | January 28, 2013 | Drew Katchen

Posted on 01/28/2013 8:47:24 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Former Republican star and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and FOX news ended their partnership on Friday after three years, a source close to Palin told the Real Clear Politics Web site, the Morning Joe panel discussed Palin’s exit on Monday morning.

“Sarah Palin represented a time and place in American politics and not 2008 so much as 2010. And that time is passing us very quickly. Party leaders are finally understanding that,” Joe Scarborough told the panel.

Palin last appeared on Fox on December 19, 2012 when she spoke with the channel’s Greta Van Susteren about Benghazi and the two discussed TIME’s Person of the Year.

Scarborough called the move “important” because FOX News president Roger Ailes has been the “de facto” head of the GOP.

“He’s run the party; he’s run the conservative movement. And when Roger Ailes decides she’s not worth the trouble, it means conservatism is moving in a new direction,” Scarborough said...

I tried watching him interview Bill Maher, I'm guessing it was about ten years ago. It lasted 10 minutes. It was truly vile, the way Joe let this guy spew his hatred, I turned off the tv in disgust.

I've never been able to watch either of them since.

Yikes! That ugly Maher is another one I won’t watch.
In fact, I won’t watch or listen to any of the libtards.
Life is too short, and time too precious.

As much as I despise dead girl in office Scarborough...he is quite right.

FOX and the GOP leaning pundits they have on board there all parrot the same moderate let's just get elected by moving left crap...watching O'Reilly last night he was actually more straight on illegals than damned Yoda Rove that so many here used to get on their knees for incessantly.

GOP leadership is way out of touch with their base.

Ailes is still pissed his boy Petraeus imploded over punani and he had to settle for Romney.

It's not that FOX is liberal ala Obama but it's just they are moderates.

Palin is great but our demographics are not what they were in 1976-1980 when Reagan forcibly took the mantle from the Yankee social liberal GOP and forged west and South to win it all...and it was hard even then

Did anyone see the graphic he had on about how racial voting patterns have changed and party make up as well since 72...chilling baby...to the bone....damn it has happened much quicker than I figured thanks to of course ...white liberals and guess where they are?....usual squareheads

Our only hope for now is to motivate the white base....that is it...the rest is plain bullshit...pandering weakness of folks ashamed of what they are and if we keep on that we will lose yet another time..isn't twice in a row enough?

but worse...it's just a finger in the dike...eventually all of this will be settled by force...and we may lose

It was so bad I felt like I needed a shower after watching. I felt sick for hours.

We stopped getting any news from tv, even Fox, six or seven years ago. Every once in a while (election night frinstance), we break down and watch. Like you said, life is too short........

Precisely. We rarely watch TV news, not even Fox.
We’re sick of pundits spewing nonsense.
I would watch Fox, whenever I knew ahead of time that Sarah Palin was scheduled, or someone else I wanted to see, but that’s about it.
We watch sports and a limited number of favorite programs, which are mostly reruns from the past....LOL.

Watching Palin was a good thing, but we would watch her through links that others (mostly you) would post rather than watch through the tv.

It will be interesting to see who leads the next conservative renewal, whether she will help in it or fade away. Either way, she's someone that deserves respect, I still have a hard time with the idiots who come on here bad mouthing her as if she deserves some kind of comeuppance because liberals hate her, or like pissant, because their candidate was ignored.

It’s way past time for Joey to admit to being a liberal.

I’ve never paid much attention to National Review, but the “summit” program they put on last weekend provided a couple of days of good viewing on C-Span, including a couple of hours of Charles Krauthammer on Friday night and a panel of conservative women such as Kellyann Conover and Mona Charon - Charon in fact said something I’ve been waiting to hear for a long time - while some were pushing the idea that ‘pubs aren’t doing well lately because of “ten little things”, Charon said it was because of “one big thing” - that they’ve let the ‘rats get way with blaming Bush for the economic downturn, when in fact the collapse resulted from ‘rat policies on giving away houses to the poor over the last 30 years, and it isn’t so much the fault of the banks or Wall Street as of Government - anyhow, I think NR did a public service, and C-Span did too by covering it in real time, by providing this form........

Joe is the hero to low information voters everywhere, a dumb bastard who can’t wrap his arms around the fact that he’s just as stupid as the ditzy blonde to his right.
