The buzz is that Ann Romney's speech was off the charts and that Chris Christie's speech was moderately good but didn't have the red meat people wanted. I tend to disagree. Christie's speech was fantastic but in a much more subtle way. He showed the stark differences. Thoughts?
I've had people HERE tell me that veterans don't deserve anything different than anyone else, they're nuthin' special, etc, etc.
We don’t know what you do with your money, nor care, but it would be nice to see you go a day or two without your constantly telling everyone that you are a disabled vet.

I have yet to see someone come up there and tell America what it REALLY needs to hear.
Someone needs to say point black that OBAMA IS A MARXIST , he is surrounded by anti American radicals , he is pro Islam , he is Anti Israel and he want to completely change the form of government we have in America.

Look into the teachings of your church on Mormonism, and then how it is the same to all the other Christian churches on Mormonism whether they be Protestant, or Orthodox, then you will see how wrong you are to try to compare Catholicism to Mormonism in the Christian community.
Do you have an identity besides having been in the army at one time?

Yes, yes. I’ve been feeling that way myself. She’s just marvelous. And you just know that Mitt Romney thinks he’s the luckiest man on earth to be married to her, and that is downright charming.
When he said on the Fox news interview that he’d rather spend time with Anne than anything else, you could just tell it was the pure truth, not empty blabber.
As for Christie, I said it on another thread, but I’ll say it hear too, hubby LOVED him. He actually said he was proud that he was OUR Governor.
Now, hubby really don’t like too many pols. Sees them as all being the same, full of bs, etc.
Christie really has a gift when it comes to speaking to a crowd. I was truly shocked to hear hubby say such a thing. He was all like: we voted for him!!! YAY US!
(He only voted for him because I made him!)
But, never mind, to me this was all good.
I’ll say that Romney himself has a bit of a tough act to follow after these 2, lol, and Ryan tomorrow, you’ll know he’ll be good.
I truly hope the dem convention goes like this: Abortion, abortion, abortion, contraception, abortion, homsexuality, homosexuality, same-sex marriage, who is Mitt Romney to oppose same sex marriage his great-grandfather was a polygamist, multi-culti, multi-culti, immigration “reform”, we support our public workers, raise taxes, raise taxes, raise taxes on quarter millionaires, abortion.
I think if they play it that way, Romney’s a lock!

Ann’s entire family is Mormon now, they got her dad a year after he died.

Both speeches were terrific.....reaching different audiences and helping to win Mitt’s election.
