I saw this was posted in the GOP Club after I made the post if I had been observant enough to note that fact before posting I would not have bothered. I know we will never agree and I don’t see any benefit to stirring the pot

Maybe it's best to do this right:

Mitt Romney will not be on the ballot in Washington State, if a lawsuit from the Libertarian party succeeds.

"Libertarian" and "Party" should be capitalized. A minor point, but standards exist for a reason.

the republican party is working to rig voting hours in Ohio so that only percents which traditionally vote republican can show up early.

A leftist lie, containing poor usage. But hey, we can bash Ron Paul over it, so leftists are our friends!

In fact, while Ron Paul routinely runs for president as a republican candidate, he’s a libertarian who simply prefers to try to change the republican party from within (or prefers the greater spotlight provided by a major party) rather than trying to run as a third party candidate.

Ron Paul is a sitting member of the House of Representatives, and is a Republican. When you don't capitalize properly, things get all jumbled. Paul hasn't run as a Libertarian since the 80s.

Except now the libertarian party is attempting to suppress the Romney vote, even though most libertarians would rather see a republican win than a democrat if it were a two-man race. The bizarre yet very real explanation, then, is that Ron Paul is indeed planning to run as a third party candidate…

The Libertarian Party has a candidate, and I doubt he is going to allow Ron Paul on the party's ticket. Seriously, this column is evidence of retardation.

But 2012 may be different in that Mitt Romney is behind in every national poll and continues to fall, even as his brewing tax scandal threatens to implode his entire campaign. The best evidence of Romney’s lack of momentum is that when he chose ultra-conservative hero Paul Ryan as his vice presidential running mate, it made no positive impact on the polls whatsoever – a historical rarity which suggests he’s out of gas. This may have given Ron Paul second thoughts about running as a third candidate after all, and the sudden libertarian attempt to get Romney removed from the ballot may be the strongest clue yet…

Just in case you made it through the entire first paragraph without realizing you were reading a liberal fantasy, I present you with the second paragraph. If you can't parse this one, you are beyond hope, and likely brain-dead. Report to Daily Kos immediately.

There’s little chance that Ron Paul would win, as he’s a radical whose policies include cutting all off nearly government services and in fact scrapping several core government agencies in an extremist plan which falls somewhere between Romney’s rich-only policies and pure anarchy.

Wow, those right wing extremists come in all sorts of flavors! That a column with those sentiments would get positive comments on Free Republic is just sad. Reading the headline and hating Ron Paul is not quite a complete thought process.

...when conservative Ross Perot ran as a third candidate in 1992 and took votes away from republican George Bush which helped democrat Bill Clinton to win.

Well, lookie there, some truth slipped in.

...the only other explanation is that Ron Paul’s libertarian party is trying to get Romney removed from the ballot for no reason other than to ensure that Obama gets reelected.

Um, former New Mexico Governor, Gary Johnson, is the Libertarian Party candidate for President. It says so right there on their website. Ron Paul was their candidate in 1988. That's six presidential elections ago. Ron Paul could not be the candidate for that party anymore, because he is pro-life. So how is it "Ron Paul's libertarian party"? If we are using moron logic, I suppose it is.

The person that wrote this piece is a fantasizing, leftist half-wit. He/she/it can't write, and doesn't perform even the most basic research. Whether you like, hate, or are indifferent to Ron Paul, if you got sucked into this piece of trash, you have egg on your face.

He said he took dangerous sub duty because at the time he was not too concerned if he lived or died.(his dad was a violent drunkard who beat him) He had a fellow that was going to put him in a safe research job and he felt that post should go to a man with a young family so he signed on for the drum...the crew had many close calls. He worked the radar(when on surface), sonar, radios, and many other things on the boat.

He also raised money by having sandwiches made up and having guys go around selling them for him....plus he was an amazing poker player.

I think he mentioned he was running off a newsletter on an old underused mimeo machine....can’t think of the newsletters name....could send an email I guess or search the archive.

Many have asked me to attend Mensa parties....but they sound pretty dull to me. As someone else said “I don’t care to belong to a group that would allow someone like me to become a member”

If he runs it will be paid for by Obama and Seros Money—it is a way to drain off votes so Obama and his motley crew can be re-elected. It will not work. Americans are smarter than that.

I have to laugh at all the Freepers who are actually forcing themselves to believe that they are supporting a Conservative in Romney.

For them, the hangover from this election is going to be a head splitter!

I’d have supported Hubert Humphrey if he had run against Adolf Hitler and I’ll vote Romney to rid us of Obama. Get it?

YEP - split the Right.

I’m extremely pro-Paul on issues.

But if he does this, he’s working for Obama.

I’m kind of insulted that Obama4AmeriKKKa in Chicago doesn’t send a better class of disruptor troll here. I know Bill Clinton or Al Gore would’ve. Or maybe that’s just the low class of idiots that would take such a job.

Why not attack the GOP.

Mr. RomneyCARE threw Election 2008 for Obama,
and the GOP adopted him as their "head" (author of Death Panels).

If Ron Paul does this to screw the GOP, the dirt-stupid GOP
will make him the next candidate.

Ron Paul must be a big Obama 2012 fan. What a jerk!

Amen to that - much like all those on FR that will do anything they can in order to stop Romney...
