Should [TEA partiers] field a presidential ticket [in 2012]?

Yes! We might as well. Now that would get lots of conservatives and libertarians to the polls!

If 0bama is re-elected in 2012, I think Sarah Palin is a lock in 2016. Maybe even if Romney wins.

But I really wish that Sarah would run for President this election cycle as an independent.

Palin for President in 2012!

No.

Conservatives need to get their acts together and take their party back from the terribly frightened Country Clubbers.

Starting with an opening prayer that called President Obama the “liar in chief”
Oof. Remember Exodus 22:28 or else God won’t hear you. The liberals’ tools are not to be used by conservatives.

If Willard is coronated by the GOP, YES. Conservatives don’t owe that lying Socialist dirtbag a thing.

I’d say it would be better to focus the considerable energies/manpower/money needed for a Tea Party run on supporting conservative candidates for Congress.

Unless something spectacular shakes up the primary calculus, Romney is going to be the nominee. I will probably hold my nose and vote for him. I know some FReepers won’t, and that’s their business and I respect their choice.

I think we can *all* agree, though, that there is an opportunity to take the Senate and increase the conservative presence in the House this year. The Tea Party made a huge difference in the 2010 House races. They had a couple of misfires in the Senate races, but even there a positive impact was made overall. Keeping the House and taking the Senate is potentially as important as winning the White House, IMHO.

We need to rip the "Establishment Republicans" out by the roots.
We can support Newt in the Primary.
Let LOSER Romney fall flat on the "Establishment Republicans' " faces.
Don't vote for a stinking Liberal!

Yes. It might be the best way to get conservatives to the polls and make sure that the house and senate aren't ruled by democrats.

Why should the tea-party line up loyal to Romney and risk losing conservative votes that are needed in local races? The many debates on this site alone make it clear that a great many will not vote for Romney, give those people a clear reason to go to polls and pray for a Miracle.
