I’d say it would be better to focus the considerable energies/manpower/money needed for a Tea Party run on supporting conservative candidates for Congress.
Unless something spectacular shakes up the primary calculus, Romney is going to be the nominee. I will probably hold my nose and vote for him. I know some FReepers won’t, and that’s their business and I respect their choice.
I think we can *all* agree, though, that there is an opportunity to take the Senate and increase the conservative presence in the House this year. The Tea Party made a huge difference in the 2010 House races. They had a couple of misfires in the Senate races, but even there a positive impact was made overall. Keeping the House and taking the Senate is potentially as important as winning the White House, IMHO.
