I usually agree with DeMint but here I think he is wrong! I don’t think the rhetoric needs to be “toned” down as far as Obama and his cronies are concerned...but I do think it needs to be toned down against each other in the fact that we need to be attacking Obama and the dems and what they are trying to do to this counrty. This is where all of the disgruntlement is...period. We need to be running against Obama and the dems and their systematic destruction of America and the American dream....not all this other BS. Just IMO
I agree with Richard Viguerie. He recognized in 2005/6 that the Washington Repubs (including W) were destroying the conservative movement. I was upset with Viguerie when I heard him speak, but, he was right.
Since Demint has endorsed the establishment candidate - of course he wants no effective criticism of that candidate.
Jim DeMint sold out. He can go straight to hell.
JANUARY 2007, Not January 2008- Senator DeMint wrote, We must elect a President in 2008 who is up to the task, and I need you to encourage Mitt to run. ...

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Boston, MA Governor Mitt Romney announced today that Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) will serve as a senior adviser to the Romney for President Exploratory Committee.
OCTOBER, 2007
Boston, MA Today, Governor Mitt Romney named Governor Matt Blunt (R-MO), Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) and Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) as National Co-Chairs of the Romney for President campaign. As National Co-Chairs, they will serve as key advisers to Governor Romney and his national campaign.
Senator Jim DeMint said, Governor Mitt Romney is the standard-bearer the Republican Party needs in 2008. His message of conservative change will bring our Party and Washington back to our most basic conservative values of fiscal discipline, smaller government and lower taxes. Governor Romney has the record and experience to bring true change to Washington.
Romney and he are still close,WashingtonPost.com Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) will appear as the special guest at a fundraiser next week to benefit South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMints 2010 re-election
Plus, I don't appreciate the Pubbies trying to hide all this negative information about mittens actual RECORD on JOB CREATION which he himself put front and center as the main reason he was the best qualified.
Mittens is just being asked to defend his record. All the hyperbole about attacking capitalism is just an Alinsky tactic to shift the focus from his record.
Kennedy used this issue to beat him years ago, so he has had ample time to prepare his defense. I am still waiting to hear specific verifiable details to explain his record.
If he can't effectively combat this little criticism now, there is no way he can withstand what the Obama machine will throw at him later.
This issue alone makes him unelectable, but as we know there is soooo much more. GOP E must really not care if we beat Obama or not, if they continue to push mittens.
I agree with Sarah Palin.
Obama is raising more re-election funds than all of the GOP candidates combined.
Its not the time time to just flip a coin and hope your horse finishes first in this race.
You find out what kind of stamina it has, or if its even a horse.
Seems like the one now “wanting it to stop” is Mitt through his “fellers”.

Don’t know what happened, I hit Post one time....
It’s unfortunate that Sarah Palin didn’t get into the race. She has more fight in her than all these candidates combined.
Attacking romney IS attacking obama. There is nothing different about them except their names. Did you see that bain ADVISED obama on the auto bailout? Advised them to close all those dealerships, most of which were targeted Republicans?
I understand Demints position being in the senate and trying to build a stronger conservative caucus and not agitate the leadership.I also understand that Sarah is right on the money and is free to do as she wishes.I wish her the very best of luck and success.
Barack Obama - Now in White.
The US Senate is the most consistently corrupted collection of putrifying treasonous slimeballs on the planet.
The gloves are off now.
Now that we are in a conservative State, Romney doesn't want his record spoken about.
Good one.
