Sarah Palin: Thin-skinned, smartly strategic (or both)? [They've no clue how to handle her! LOL]

Via her Facebook page, Twitter account and regular appearances on Fox News Channel, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is everywhere these days -- and regularly takes the sort of potshots at other politicians and the media that most of her colleagues shy away from.

To wit:

* In an appearance last night on Greta Van Susteren's show, Palin took direct aim at two Politico reporters -- by name no less! -- for a piece they wrote detailing the behind-the-scenes effort of the GOP political establishment to kill her presidential ambitions before they grow. She called the reporters "jokes" for using anonymous sourcing, saying of those who hide behind the cloak of anonymity: "If they would man up and if they would, you know, make these claims against me then I can debate them, I can talk about it, but to me they're making stuff up again."

* In a Facebook post over the weekend entitled "Lisa, are you going to shut down my Facebook page for writing this", Palin castigated Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R) for allegedly threatening a radio show host who urged his listeners to sign up as write-in candidates for tomorrow's election. (Murkowski is running a write-in candidacy following her defeat in an Aug. 24 primary by Palin-backed attorney Joe Miller.) "Lisa, you can sue me if you want (you won't be the first)," wrote Palin. "But I will not be intimidated from speaking my mind. Your intimidation just empowered us liberty-loving Alaskans. Are you really that out of touch?

Palin's willingness to air her personal grudges and grievances is without peer -- or question. But, whether her comments are merely a response to the negative coverage she has received or a broader strategy to position herself as diametrically opposed to the Republican establishment...

Thin skinned? What a crock. Gov Palin showed incredible restraint when the web site went up mocking her youngest. If she really were thin skinned she would have gutted them.

Sarah is anything but thin-skinned. Why, as much abuse as that woman has taken from the left and from the media - even from big entertainers like Letterman - do these politico pencil pushers think they have a chance getting the best of her?

If obama had gotten 1/5th of the abuse that Sarah has, he'd be looking for his mommy's lap to boo-hoo in, and sucking his thumb.

The coven of Hillary supporters at Politico wants to get rid of Sarah because the contrast in ‘12 between this beautiful, good, strong woman would be a devastating contrast to the hard, Leftist, shop-worn Hillary. Hillary will see to it that Obama will not run in ‘12, so Politico’s assertion that he would beat Sarah is a complete crock.

I love how Sarah is responding. Love her fire at taking it right back at the MSM. With that said, that is not the behavior a sitting POTUS/CinC can or should go to.

I love her doing it right now, but if she becomes POTUS/CinC, I will bet she will understand that reality. She is a decent enough person to realize the difference once POTUS (not like the person we have in office right now).

Now with that said regarding a sitting POTUS. There is no doubt the PR side of the GWB WH was awful at taking on the MSM from 05/08 once Karen Hughes left.
