Lisa Murkowski's cousin is Mary Gore, who broke the news of Murkowski's write-in campaign against the GOP candidate, Joe Miller.

What, if any, connection is there between Lisa Murkowski and the Al Gore family? Evidently her mother's maiden name is Gore. Is there any real family connection between the two "elitist" families?
