Were's Steele? Haven't seen anything from him in the media on the health care debacle.

I think he is responding perfectly. Let the dems have all of the health care. Don't offer an amendment or anything to make it better. Just stay out of sight and out of mind. Let them hang themselves.

actually, i think getting steele out there does more damage than good. I think we are better off letting the dems shoot themselves in the foot - this whole thing is such a spectacle.

It will happen with or without us. Let it happen without us. We clean up later.

Hopefully locked in a basement somewhere.

Bears repeating.

Ever since Steele told Conservatives to "shut up," that worthless @sshole has not been worth listening to.

I agree.. At first, do no harm.... Then again, why is he in this position if he must be kept in a closet?

Steele’s NOT the leader of the Party. He’s the top fundraiser...that’s it. We don’t need him out there. Boehner, Cantor and Ryan are doing a great job.

I agree. He would be accused of being a media whore if he made guest appearances on MSM (unlikely he would even be invited).

Plus, he’s not an elected official required to vote. His time is better spent trying to replace Dems in Congress...and making overtures to TEA candidates - not making public statements that will bite him in the butt.

“actually, i think getting steele out there does more damage than good.”

Agreed.

Keep him locked in the attic; we’ll all be better off.

Steele should stay locked in his own basement.

Doing what he’s supposed to be doing. Working on the strategy and money for the elections. There was a time when only hardcore political nerds knew who the party chairmen were because they understood they weren’t elected officials so they weren’t out taking positions and giving pressers. That’s how it should be, political parties already have too many public faces.

I would hope Steele is busy letting waivering Dem’s know that if they vote against the health bill, Republicans will support their reelection.
