Yes, I feel a lot better about the upcoming year. 2010 will be great!

Yes, 2010 looks to be a bit better than 2009. 2010 will be the same as 2009.

No, I feel 2010 will be a bit worse than 2009.

No, 2010 will make 2009 seem like a picnic. 2010 will be horrible.

When the bombs are going off each day, and the POS in the White Mosque in DC keeps praiseing the Religion of Piece (spit), this year will look so nice.

Took the poll — voted NO — ‘10 will be worse. I have no evidence to the contrary, unfortunately!

My prospects for 2010 are poor. The prospects for America are enough to bring one to tears if they think about only that, and visualize each scenario.

No. The global economy is about to fall off the proverbial cliff. That is why they are railroading Socialist Medicine through as quickly as they can.

Option ARMs are resetting earlier than expected and the default rate is going to go through the roof.

Denninger thinks this will strip 25% of the value of everyone’s house.

We have no control over the value of our currency, which is controlled by other nations that devalue theirs to keep their exports rolling.

They know 1st quarter 2010 is going to be a nightmare.

This wasn’t an easy answer. Our personal prospects are for 2010 to be a little better, but I don’t feel the same about the country’s prospects in general....

I know what you mean. I just started a new job, which looks to be pretty good, but there is just too many other problems to feel good about the year.

Actually I do feel better about my prospects for 2010. At this time last year we were hitting day 60 of new ownership that had said they would take around 90 days to evaluate us and decide who was and wasn’t necessary and act accordingly. Having survived that, and the other 330ish days of working for that company, I’m not nearly as anxious as I was this time last year.

Just for the record for anyone on why 2010 will be a tough year.

1) The expiration of the Bush Tax Cuts will raise taxes on all tax payers.

2) The new health plan will be the second tax raise (due to the above). We will pay for 4 years before we even see it.

3) The commercial market bust will happen. Already happening in Vegas. As Vegas goes so does the rest of the country

4) Cap and Trade will pass. Basically another tax increase on energy

5) Legalization of the Illegals. In order to neutralize the conservative vote in 2010. It's already in the works.

6) Carbon tax will happen.

7) The depreciation of the US Dollar due to all the spending in Washington DC. The democrats use to be known as tax and spend. Now they are print (money out of thin air) and spend.

That is what we are looking at right now. Expect to see a continual erosion of our Bill of rights and the US Constitution too.

As long as the Obama junta is in power, I am NOT sanguine about the future.

Things are so F****ed up in the country that turning the government around would be an up hill battle, even with a conservative administration.

Still, I have a glimmer of hope that MAYBE enough Americans can awaken — or BE awakened — from the stupor they have fallen into and, somehow, set things right.

Cap & Tax will not need to pass Congress.

This administration will implement it all through EPA regulations. No Congressional approval will be required.

I hope for the best but prepare for the worst. I am not optimistic about 2010. All FReepers and patriots should be drastically increasing their self-sufficiency and ability to defend themselves and their republic.

Freeped. Only 200+ voted, but 2010 being worse than 2009 is the tone.

My son is currently unemployed, but since he’s taking any cash job he can find until he finds a decent job w/benefits, he’s holding his own. (Single, no dependents.)

My husband is self-employed, and has been busier this season than last; he’s holding his own.

My full-time job (w/medical benefits for both Husband and myself) is secure; we’re looking at another very busy spring season as people hunker down, grow their own food, plant some fruit trees, learn to better fend for themselves, get ‘back to the land’ however they can, etc.

Our farm is nearly paid for (would be if we cashed in some retirement funds), we have cash on hand and our larder is full. We have a clean well, a wood stove, adequate vehicles...just need a gas powered generator and we’ll be all set! :)

HOWEVER - those that haven’t been ‘reading the tea leaves’ are going to be in a world of hurt in the coming years. Those dependent upon Mother Government for their subsistence are going to be rioting in the streets. (Aim small, miss small.)

We’ll help our community where we can. We survived Carter; but this guy is Carter on steroids!!

All any of us can do until this storm passes is hunker down, pray, hold our families tight, keep an eye on the Enemy (we all know who he is) and dig in for the duration. :)
