Former CBSNEWS anchorman Walter Cronkite believes Bush adviser Karl Rove is possibly behind the new Bin Laden tape. Cronkite made the startling comments late Friday during an interview on CNN. Cronkite said he is "inclined to think that Karl Rove, the political manager at the White House, who is a very clever man, he probably set up bin Laden to this thing." Interviewer Larry King did not ask Cronkite to elaborate on the provocative election eve accusation.

When CBS decides to completely dump it's reputation, they pull out the stops.

Is he still alive? Yes, somewhat, but he is apparently brain dead.

I feel very sorry for this obviously senile old man. The media should be embarassed at what they're doing to him.

I'm enjoying seeing this old commie sacrifice any credibility he had left, at the altar of the criminal enterprise known as the democrat party.

I couldn't believe my ears when he said that.
But yup, he did. (I was stuck in an airport waiting area being tortured with CNN at the time.)

in all fairness, he was laughing when he said it - it was his attempt to deny that this would be a goof thing for Bush...

If Karl Rove was behind the Bin Laden tape then we should all definitely vote Bush. Anybody who could hire someone of Rove's genius who can manipulate OBL in this fashion deserves to be in the white house. Clearly he has a "dizzying intellect."

I am disappointed in Walter Cronite ... as disappointed as a kid would be, on learning that Santa Claus is Jack the Ripper and a child molester.
Question to Matt Drudge: Why give the idiot Cronkite any space on your site?

I positioned myself in the waiting room so I didn't have to see the screen - I only heard the sound. I didn't hear any laughing.
