Uncle John’s Plan

Words by Robert Hunter
Music by Jerry Garcia
Satire by LonePalm
Midi file of Uncle John's Band

Well the first days are the hardest days
don't you worry any more.
'cause when life looks like easy street,
O. bin Laden’s at your door.
Think this through with me;
Don’t be filled with dread
Whoa, oh, what I want to know
Is this Code Red?

A frequent flyer's choice my friend
Don’t you break out in hives
You know all the rules by now
And the pliers from the knives
Will they search your bags?
Won't you step this way?
Whoa oh, what I want to know is
When does my plane leave?

Hot damn! Well I declare.
Have you seen the like?
Our walls are built of cannon balls
Our motto is "Don't Tread on Me."

Come hear Uncle John's Plan
Playing for our side
Come with him or go alone
He's come to save our children’s home

It's the same story Ms. Crow told me
It's the only one she knows
Like the morning sun they come
And like the wind they blow
Ain't no time to hate
Barely time to prate
Whoa oh, what I want to know is
Why won’t the libs go?

We live in a golden place
And we call it USA
We got us our liberty
And you can’t take that away
Anybody's choice
I can hear your voice
Whoa oh, what I want to know is:
How does the song go?

Come hear Uncle John's Plan
For saving our hide
Got some things to talk about
How to stem the Islam tide
Come hear Uncle John's Plan
To save our homeland
Come with him or go alone
He's come to save our children’s home

--Repeat last—

Le travail excellent, mon ami! Cette chanson a rapporté des mémoires amatrices de 1973 dans upstate NY; et la parodie était aujourd'hui pertinente comme je tape ceci de Finlande attend une maison de dos de vol...

(Excellent job, my friend! That song brought back fond memories of 1973 in upstate NY; and the parody was relevant today as I type this from Finland waiting for a flight back home...)
