I currently pay $0.0728 [incl sales tax] per kWh as the marginal price.
The average price per kWh for a given month is way higher due to all sorts of set monthly charges.
But it’s still a great deal if I want some heat out in the garage whilst I’m working out there.
Canada has a Parliamentary system. Castro Jr. doesn’t get a majority, but besides his liberal party, the NDP (hard left socialists) get a sizeable chunk, and they put him over the top to be PM.
Just as big a problem as Castro/Trudeau Jr are the idiots in Ontario and BC who think the answer is MORE leftism.
Yes,all power companies charge some kind of hookup fee which you pay even if you use no power during a particular billing period. The 5 cents I mentioned was in addition to that monthly fee.
If you get those carbon/climate refund things use those to fill up your car that’ll piss off Trudeau ,LOL

You pay the tax every time you buy gas.
The refund comes when you file your taxes.
The trouble is, you do without the money until you eventually get the refund.
This just doesn't work if you are poor, living from paycheck to paycheck.
The elites in Canada have no concept of this.
