News broke today that Rep. Mike Gallagher (RINO-WI) is leaving the house well before his term ends. He’ll join former Representatives Kevin McCarthy and Ken Buck, both of whom bowed out before their terms ended. I can think of four reasons for a politician to bow out early: necessity, pique, changed alliances, and one other thing more sinister than the other three.
As of January 2023, Republicans had a very narrow majority in the House. After the rebellion against Kevin McCarthy, the latter, in a fit of pique, withdrew on October 3, 2023, long before finishing his term, diminishing the Republican majority.
Then, the Republicans, proving that they truly are the stupid party, decided to show their “moral superiority” by kicking out Rep. George Santos. Yes, Santos is an odd bird, but he wasn’t so bad that he needed to be tossed. Doing so shrank that slender majority still more.
Last week, Rep. Ken Buck, a RINO’s RINO from Colorado, withdrew from the House, announcing that he was leaving effective yesterday. That means that there’ll be a special election for his replacement at the end of June. In Colorado, that’s not a good thing and could well mean a Democrat goes to Congress in his place.
And then, just today, Charlie Kirk notified people via Twitter that Rep. Gallagher is heading out of Congress almost immediately, in the most damaging way possible for Republicans:

I think the writing on the wall has surfaced. I think the real problem is they are about to be caught up for their deeds. There may be a storm coming in January called hurricane Trump and everyone that has been against him may be in his sights. The rats may not be liberals on paper, but they may think they are toast in reality.

If neither party gets 170 delegates in the general because of a third party candidate it goes to the House. This is just another attempt to thwart a Trump election.

after j6the repubs must realize that all of their electronic communications are compromised. this would include burner phones. it is not difficult to imagine repub congresspeople not even having an established spooky flavored protocol for dealing with this problem. (but, stupid is as stupid does...)
1) Kevin McCarthy working behind the scenes to cause RINOs to leave the congress at strategically planned moments. He confessed this with his own mouth when he stated that his demise as Speaker was "The beginning of the end" for the Republican majority. No, he did not mean that in the passive sense and Yes, he is that narcissistic and vindictive.
2) Weak, feckless, hapless and possibly blackmailed "Nice little Baptist boy" leadership in the House, easily rolled by the likes of Shumer and Jeffries. We in Oklahoma have the same problem in the Senate so we recognize it when we see it. It's OK for me to say that, BTW.

Bingo they are trying to slink away in the hopes they will not have to face the music for their misdeeds. There are Democrats doing it too. 2/3 of both houses need to be forcibly removed.

Bongino has been talking about the RINO traitor scheme for days now on his radio show. His view is that RINOs are plotting to leave office at a strategic time before the election to shift the House to the Democrat majority with Hakeen Jeffries as Speaker. Then when Trump gets elected they will ignore the Electoral College tally for Trump on the grounds he is an insurrectionist and unfit to assume office and then seat Biden instead. No hypocrisy is too extreme for Communists.
