why would showing them a lease be intimidating or necessary to show to these bums?

The lease puts the new “tenant” on a level playing field with the squatters in any legal process.

The important thing to remember here is the old legal adage that “possession is nine-tenths of the law.” The reason squatters have been successful is that when a property is physically occupied, most laws are written in a way that the burden of proof for getting the occupants out is on the party that DOESN’T occupy it.

Once the squatters leave a property even for just a short time, the owner can simply move in or have someone else move in with their approval. The lease that is being waved at the squatters when they return just moves the burden of proof onto THEM if the law gets involved.

Didn’t think about that. It’s mind blowing that people will go to that extreme.

I still do not understand why you cannot kill someone who broke into your home.

All of them.

Not squatters. Thieves.

They are stealing another’s property. Theft is theft.

It needs to be identified for what it is.

Our stinking Democtrat Party has been asking people to open their homes

Which would probably make it well nigh impossible to evict them.

But then again, that is the idea.

It’s time that Americans start doing the job the “law enforcement” crowd don’t want to do. Judge, jury and executioner for these bad actors. What would John Wayne or Wyatt Earp do? This crap has got to cease.

“Is trespassing no longer against the law? Out of all the cases I’ve read about, not once have I seen trespassing mentioned.“

To say nothing of breaking and entering.

Landlords doing this should also have backup by Mr Smith and Mr Wesson.

> As a property owner you should be able to shoot squatters.

The trick is to get someone else to do the shooting.

[Is this more trans rights nonsense?]

Different definition of “squatting.”

Clever, but homeowners shouldn’t have to do that. They should be able to call the cops, show the paperwork that it’s their house, squatters are unable to produce paperwork, cops haul the squatters off to jail, the end.

That said, what that guy did sounds like a good opportunity for an entrepreneur to offer his services. A brave, strong young man good at installing security cameras, etc. might make a good living doing this.

I saw a video of a homeowner being led off in handcuffs. There was no indication she shot at the squatters. So anyone who actually shot them would be in even worse trouble.

My take on it, our rulers don’t want us to own anything, anyway. They want to replace us with illegals who have more rights than we do. So it’s their desire that illegals be able to break into any house and get to stay.

“..As a property owner you should be able to shoot squatters. Doesn't have to be lethal, both legs, arms and shoulders works...”

Actually in some self-defense classes, the recommendation has been not to shoot for center of mass, but to shoot for the pelvis if they are not armed with a firearm. Destroying the pelvic bone will mean you can safely walk away and they can't follow. It is also a big target area with lots of arteries, veins and nerves.

The home addresses of all DEMOCRAT elected officials should be posted with a notice that SQUATTING is available......how fast that law would change.

This is a strategy to remove property owners. There was a reason that only property owners could initially vote. Now the person paying the mortgage, insurance and taxes must jump through hoops to take control of their property.

Very good....There shouldn’t be any question of the governor signing it. Like I said yesterday, I can’t believe there would be any NAY votes when it comes up in legislation. We have to admit the dem loons will vote down anything that does good but they’d sure look pretty stupid voting NO on something like this...It is turning into an epidemic and everyone needs to act NOW!!!

Thanks.
