Tucker: Rep. Dan Crenshaw is LIAR re: TikTok bill; Crenshaw responds
Twitter/X ^ | March 15 | Tucker Carlson

Posted on 03/15/2024 7:40:33 PM PDT by RandFan

@TuckerCarlson

This is Rep. Dan Crenshaw as he walks out of the Capitol after voting to give Joe Biden the power to shut down news sites that dare to challenge him. Crenshaw tells reporter Liam Cosgrove that U.S. intel agencies don’t meddle in domestic news coverage, when of course he knows that’s untrue. Watch his face as he says it. Liar.

@DanCrenshawTX

Tucker lying for attention, as usual. Maybe since he lost his production assistants at Fox News he can no longer do basic research or read short legislation. Nothing in the TikTok bill gives anyone any authority to shut down news agencies. Tucker is mad about a bill that simply stops the CCP from stealing the data of tens of millions Americans and using TikTok to push their propaganda. 90% of conservatives in the House voted for this bill.

None of this is surprising, since Tucker never misses an opportunity to defend America’s enemies, and of course garner some clickbait on his Chinese TikTok account.

“ a public report to Congress, submitted not less than 30 days be- fore such determination..”

They forgot the part where no one respects or expects Congress to support America. This language is just a smoke screen.

“Crenshaw tells reporter Liam Cosgrove that U.S. intel agencies don’t meddle in domestic news coverage, ...”

Cringeshaw has to be the most fraudulent RINO. And possibly the worst CINO in the entirely of Western politics.

Nothing in the TikTok bill gives anyone any authority to shut down news agencies.

In other words, it DOES gives someone the authority to shut down news agencies.

I thought Crenshaw was A good guy for about 5 minutes, but he has proven himself to be a fraud.

Once they set a precedent and once they’ve convinced people that this is an acceptable use (for the right reasons) of government this will 100% be expanded no matter what the legislation says. As long as crooks and thugs infest the government the laws on the books (as proven by the immigration disaster) are quite irrelevant.

The snippet of the bill has no context.

The section above (which was not posted) the snippet defines a “covered company” controlled by a foreign adversary.

You’re right they have made it broad and open to interpretation

A Freeper said in the other thread it could be a one line bill to force the sale but it ISNT !!

Ask yourself WHY ...

They’re giving the “President” enormous power.. AGAIN...

(I have never used TikTok by the way it’s a hideous website but this is wrong)

Re: 12 - I’ve read the bill.

What specifically are the clauses you are referring to?

Is it the phrase “foreign adversary country”?

Why a huge bill with all this “Determination of the president” nonsense

Fact is they have made it too broad and open to abuse

like the PATRIOT Act, etc.

Exactly the same deal.

Unfortunately for us, Crenshaw used to represent a liberal affluent section of Houston that also included the gay district. After the 2020 census, his district was reapportioned northwest to include the more conservative affluent community of The Woodlands.

Our prior representative, Kevin Brady, was the chairman of the powerful Ways and Means Committee, but Brady retired in 2022 when Crenshaw's district was moved into The Woodlands.

I believe that inertia is what is currently keeping Crenshaw in the House. I don't think The Woodlands and surrounding neighborhoods in very conservative Montgomery County has quite caught up with Crenshaw yet. He's been going under the radar here -- there haven't been any ads for or against him and he doesn't do a lot of local media appearances.

Maybe people here will wake up to him in 2026.

It’s not just “foreign adversary”

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/4223811/posts

It’s “INTERNET HOSTING SERVICE or App Store” (in the US)

Did you miss that bit ?

Re: 14 - I believe Massie gets it wrong.

Nothing happens for any entity unless a “foreign adversary country” is involved.
