Ramses 2, ? I think he was the Pharaoh when Moses was there liberating the Hebrew slaves. I’d like to ask him about those ten plagues. I mean in hindsight, would he have given up after #4. I mean the flies everywhere and in everything without stop (except Goshen) should have been a clue.

I believe in the movie “The Ten Commandments”, Ramses II was played by Yul Brynner.

I always thought that was a mischaracterization. People are always blaming God for every little thing bad that happens to them. I say it was his diet. Heart doctors say an improper diet leads to hardening of the arteries. Did he even exercise? Cut back on smoking the papyrus?

You’d be right. I have it on DVD. A great movie. Great actors/actresses. Of course Cecil De DeMille had a heart attack on the set filming it. He lived through the filming but at reduced capacity and others, including his wife, took over some of the directing for him.

I think Pharoahs wife had some influence on his decisions. Women mocking men to stand up for . . . whatever. The Ten Commandments depicts it this way and it is perfectly plausible.
