Two things that pissed me off. First was that McDonald's used the Scamdemic to end their all day breakfast sandwiches. Where I live, it doesn't matter if you're only ordering a burger, you still have to pull up to the last window and wait for your order, or you have to wait for someone to bring it out to you...even if you ordered with their app. If I have to wait for them to put a burger together for me, why can't I wait for them to put a breakfast sandwich together for me?
When the Indian casino near me reopened after the scamdemic, they never reopened their original buffet. They used to have senior specials every Friday. The buffet price was very affordable, and it was open all day. When they finally got around to opening their new buffet, the only days they are open are Thursdays 4pm-9pm, Friday 4pm-10pm, Saturday 10am - 2pm and 4pm - 10pm. Sunday 10am - 2pm and 4pm - 8pm. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday Brunch, and Sunday dinner cost is $36.99 for adults. Friday and Saturday dinner $39.99. There is no way I'd pay that much to go to a buffet.
Before the scamdemic, you'd also get free plays based on how much you spent the month before. I only went once a month, but averaged a $15 free play, once a week during the month. I never went more than once a month, so never used the other 3 weeks worth of free plays. The casino also gave you a $10 voucher once a month, which we used for the buffet. When the casino reopened, all of that was gone. Now you have to earn points for free plays, and someone like me will never be able to earn the required amount to get a free play. There is no incentive to go anymore.
Solution: Don’t patronize the Golden Tombstones. Just don’t do it.
Yeah I think a lot of places were thinking they were losing money on certain things and the covid response gave them the courage to pare down. For the place i was talking about that was the ONLY reason i went there. So I haven't been back. And I would spend more on drinks and what not as well as bringing people who would buy full meals. Too bad.
