Snip

Sandy Oullette plays Mrs. Claus at the 2020 Jordan Lake Christmas Tree Farm

‘I don’t go anywhere without my mask’

“When Dr. Anthony Fauci came out and said we need to wear masks in public, I did it. I’m claustrophobic, so when I first started wearing the cloth masks, I would have panic and anxiety attacks, particularly at the grocery store. Over time, I got used to it, and I started feeling safer by wearing my mask. Now, I don't think I will ever go into another crowded event without a mask. As a woman, we have our purses. We don’t go anywhere without our purses. Now, I don’t go anywhere without my mask. Since wearing my mask, I haven't caught a cold, let alone anything else. It's a piece of cloth, no big deal.”

Plagiarizing myself from previously....

“...the lock-downs have gone a very long way to de stigmatize the criminal indolence of the growing crowd of surly, demanding losers that Liberals have been cultivating for decades in this country.

There is by now NO shame in spending your whole life standing around with your hand out!!”

I miss the open roads with no police

Yeah, that was nice. I remember pulling a trailer all the way through the Phoenix metro area around the middle of a weekday and being able to leave the cruise control at 70 the whole time. That won't happen again soon.

The scamdemic also shows that Orwell’s novel 1984 was prophetic and that people can really be made to believe “doublethink”.

When the Indian casino near me reopened after the scamdemic, they never reopened their original buffet. They used to have senior specials every Friday. The buffet price was very affordable, and it was open all day. When they finally got around to opening their new buffet, the only days they are open are Thursdays 4pm-9pm, Friday 4pm-10pm, Saturday 10am - 2pm and 4pm - 10pm. Sunday 10am - 2pm and 4pm - 8pm. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday Brunch, and Sunday dinner cost is $36.99 for adults. Friday and Saturday dinner $39.99. There is no way I'd pay that much to go to a buffet.

Yeah I think a lot of places were thinking they were losing money on certain things and the covid response gave them the courage to pare down. For the place i was talking about that was the ONLY reason i went there. So I haven't been back. And I would spend more on drinks and what not as well as bringing people who would buy full meals. Too bad.

For a lot of people like myself, they lost trust and respect of every institution. Not that I had much faith in them previously, but it's all gone now.

“while she practices her Jardiance dance, she has another big story to tell”

I noticed they’re a new Jardiance dancing lady. Still fat, but not AS fat as the original one. Guess they had a lot of comments by disgusted people.

Their loss for sure. Last week I had a doctor's appt. at 3 p.m., so I figured I'd stop before heading home, and get take-out from Texas Roadhouse when they open at 4 p.m. As soon as I got there it started snowing heavily. I went into the restaurant, and told the girl I wanted to order take-out, and she said it would take an hour for my food to be done. I told her I wasn't going to sit in a snowstorm for an hour to wait for a ground sirloin dinner to be done, and left. Besides the casino, there is nothing really around here other than pizza, Chinese and Mexican fare, and fast-food restaurants. We have one Applebee's, which I don't go to, so the majority of my meals are cooked at home. And the only reason I go to the casino now is to meet old friends who come in from out of town once-a-month for lunch, and they like to play the cheap slot games for a couple of hours. That's the only time I go to the casino, because there's nothing really there to go for.

"Solution: Don’t patronize the Golden Tombstones. Just don’t do it."

The only reason I ever went to McDonald's was for their all-day breakfast. I hate the rest of their food. I've been retired for 20 years, and don't go to bed until 4 or 5 in the morning, so I'm not up by the time they end their breakfast menu. Having full-day breakfast gave me the option to have a couple of breakfast sandwiches for supper once in a blue moon. When they stopped serving it, I stopped going there. The only time I get McDonald's breakfast now is if I've had to be up early in the morning for a medical procedure, usually one I've had to fast for...and that's very, very rarely.
