Honestly, the only reason I had the CD was for sound system testing. I never really cared for it.
I’ll find suitable music elsewhere.
I dislike Bono a LOT, but he got this one right, unlike Roger Waters, who has been an anti-Semitic clown for longer than I even knew his music.
Mr. Waters has some serious daddy issues as well.
Dark Side of the Moon was exceptionally well engineered / produced / recorded. Following “Abbey Road”, it really put Alan Parsons on the map. It was one of the best demo records for rock music to sell audio gear to sound quality conscious kids with a bit of money, that one could hope for.
You think your woofer can do bass? Hah! Crank up the opening to “Time” and see what comes or blows loose. Do that on the ol’ “ESS Rock Monitors” with the grill off and you’d likely blow stuffing out the port and into the sales room! Many a speaker would just crack and / or pop.
But, this was not a “bass heavy” record. The sound was beautifully balanced.
On the other hand, David Gilmour is probably one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. And he’s pretty much 180 from Waters on these issues, although he is still pretty much a lefty as well.
Eye in the Sky, Alan Parsons Project, was very Pink Floyd-ish sounding................

When did Waters became an all Jew hater? The last few decades he’s really been at it. But I don’t remember that from the 70s. He’s a very tortured soul. He gave into bitterness and bad drugs.

Bono doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that you wanna talk like this about. I detect that dude has an irish temper. Waters could turn up one day to have gone to the Harry Reid fitness center for a special ‘gym device accident’. Busted eye socket bandaged up all black and blue, broken ribs. Everyone will wonder what really happened.
Yes. it seemed like every hi fi store I visited was using it for a demo. I must admit that I also used it to demo my own system, before I seriously downsized and took up playing an instrument rather than spending my most of time listening to music made by others.
If Waters had just started talking like this a few yrs ago, you might think it was something to do with his age, but he’s an a**hole, always has been.

Both Watters and Bono are pompous a-holes, imo. The likes of John Kerry type pompous a-holes. Don’t care what any of them have to say.
