(FOX Carolina) - Colleton County Clerk of Court Rebecca Hill and jurors testified in court on Monday in a hearing to determine if former Lowcountry attorney and convicted killer Alex Murdaugh will get a new trial.
In Columbia, Judge Jean Toal led the proceedings with the jurors and Hill. Alex Murdaugh’s defense team claims the jury was tampered with by Hill, who denies the allegations.

I paid little attention, but I am glad that that SOB was convicted and don't want him getting another chance at an OJ jury.

If not I would recommend doing the research......it’s enough to make no less than three full feature films.......Hollywood could never dream up anything this wild.
The murder of the wife and son is just the latest chapter.
I got some of the background. I am as much a true crime fan as the next guy, but Murdaugh is beyond belief. I notice that there are a lot of vindictive, bitter and dangerous people in the world, but Murdaugh is another level. It’s like that jerk in Washington State who killed those poor college kids. Creepiness knows no bounds.
You know that the movie “Psycho” was loosely based on a true story, only the true story was actually much worse.
She was the Chief Justice in SC for 10 years. She’s retired. They brought her back for this.
Buster Murdaugh and his girlfriend moved into my daughter’s neighborhood. She’s not happy.
I knew the clerk was lying and liked how the judge pointed out that she did it to promote the sale of her book. Shame.
Harpootlian still gets to play his hand on the appeal. If he doesn’t prevail there, he’ll appeal it it to the federal courts. Poot won’t give up until he bills the last dollar available.

At least the Murdaughs are a much smaller family now. There won’t be a big reunion at Thanksgiving.

Alex is basically the ambulance-chasing, grifter offspring of a notable SC legal family, right? I think that is it in a nutshell. Cheated his clients out of the money they were awarded in their cases.
I watched her give the verdict and loved that part!!!

And their housekeepers death......not to mention the son that was murdered was about to be sued for crashing a boat while drunk that killed a girl.
Right! I remember reading about Stephen Smith, that poor housekeeper, and the boat crash. So many things wrong in that family.
