They woke up this morning … and decided to get some of the gang back together at the 2024 Emmy Awards.
Lorraine Bracco and Michael Imperioli reunited onstage to present the nominee for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, which ultimately went to Imperioli’s “The White Lotus” co-star Jennifer Coolidge.
“Speaking for Michael, myself and the entire cast and crew, it was an honor working with ‘Sopranos’ creator David Chase,” Bracco, 69, said.
As she appeared to get choked up, she added: “And, of course, the great James Gandolfini.”

I have no idea whether Gandolfini was a pleasure to work with, as his co-stars say. All I know is that The Sopranos would never have gone anywhere without him. Bad episodes, bad writing, bad storylines (and there were some) - none of it mattered. People tuned in to see Gandolfini play Tony Soprano - his moments of tenderness, the comedic moments of stupidity, even his brutality and viciousness, which only escalated as the show progressed. Gandolfini made Tony Soprano an indelible figure in American TV - again, that show would have gone nowhere without him.
I am happy to learn she took time off for shilling for the ASPCA.
.
Thank you, thank you,
We probably have missed out on many more superb acting performances as a result of his untimely death...
He didn’t play Tony Soprano, he was Tony Soprano.
ABSOLUTELY and POSITIVELY 1000% TRUE!
He was a talented actor, no doubt about it.
Along with Heath Ledger and Chadwick Boseman.
Dey bedda. Wouldn’t want sleep with the fishes.
Watched the Sopranos, once or twice.
Disgusting.
She had nice legs during the show. I kept waiting for Tony to boff her.
Isn't it Edie Falco on those commercials?
