Vs how many saved?
Any treatment is going to have a number of deaths associated with it because not everybody will be compatible with that treatment.
The antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine, used in combination with zinc and azithromycin, was highly effective, but not necessarily so when used in isolation. Also, in many instances, the protocol was used far too late in the course of the disease, and was essentially useless after the cytokine storm has overtaken the immune system, causing massive organ failure.
Ventilators, touted early on as a heroic form of intervention, proved to be an accelerant is used too late as well.
My heart is sensitive to artificial sweeteners, alcohol and certain drugs. I don’t think I would be a good candidate for HCQ, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fine for most people.
