Also, in many instances, the protocol was used far too late in the course of the disease, and was essentially useless after the cytokine storm has overtaken the immune system, causing massive organ failure.
Ventilators, touted early on as a heroic form of intervention, proved to be an accelerant is used too late as well.
IIRC governor Cuomo in New York, was given a supply of hydroxychloroquine to run an experiment early in the pandemic. He sabotaged it by giving HCQ in isolation and very late in the progression of the disease. All this so that Trump would not get any credit, but could continue to be demonized for suggesting (in the left’s words) “horse paste”. One of our adult sons in his mid 50’sf in the second spring of Covid got whacked fairly hard with the Delta version.
A friend of this son, working in medical care, of got the above medicines to us, and we got them to another relative, who got the meds to our son.
Within 2-3 days, our son was feeling better and took these drugs with zinc for a total of 10 days.
What was interesting was his wife, an adult son and adult daughter (an Rn), were in the same home and never caught nor had this B$.
