He must have been thinking he would score points for campaigning to the end the year.

Apnews story that hit the news, said 200 people were there to celebrate New Years Eve with desanctimonious.
A count of the visible people there is about 80 people, not counting media.

team desantis does it again! For a New Years eve event, there are

No streamers, signs, or other decorations in the event.
It doesn't look like they had any party favors, like hats, streamers, horns to toot except for what people bought.
It doesn't look like there was any band or dj set up
no one looks like they are holding drinks or food/snack plates.

It was noted on the event page that it was to join desantis for a new years eve campaign event.

I think anybody that went would be expecting something New Years eve-ish/party-ish.

It looks like there’s nothing in the room, except for the stage and some speakers...

Maybe they had a bar and passed out a drink ticket, but... someone must have thought that it would be a good idea to advertise it as a new years eve event, but didn’t spend the money on it to set it up that way...

Anyway, there may be an even bigger p.r. faux pas that has already occured, that I heard about, that might be exposed shortly...

Trump gets swarmed by people when he shows up somewhere who want to see him, and get pictures taken with him.

desanctimonious shows up somewhere, and people ignore him, and try to avoid acknowledging him, so they won't be seen talking to desantis.

Take a close look at the guys at the table desanctus waved to, and see how they glare at him - "Don't come closer or else"
