Beer drinkers will find another brand. If consumption is down, put the blame on the economy and the lack of disposable income, rather than scapegoat the weird little man in a dress.
It's likely that Bud Lite drinkers had a good deal of brand loyalty. When Bud Lite took the fun out of drinking it for a lot of its customers, they had trouble coming back or finding another home. A lot of brand loyalty is just habit. You can lose more weight not drinking beer at than drinking lite beer.

How strange then that the drop in beer sales, and specifically Bud Light, began immediately after the weird man who is pretending to be a woman did his ad for the company. It is not just BL that people stopped drinking, but all of A/B’s products showed a reduction in consumption. And people were very loud and public in their refusal to buy Bud Light. It was such a phenomenon that articles were written on it daily by all news sites.
Yes, the economy has something to do with a drop in beer sales overall, but the fall in A/B products and BL specifically sales began with the mentally ill guy. The economy sucked and inflation was hitting hard prior to then but it was only after April 1 that the sales figures dropped so dramatically.
We are not “scapegoating” someone when the fault points directly to him (and the company for making such a foolish decision in insulting their reliable consumers) for the drop in beer sales.
