There are many ways to easily defeat steering a steering wheel lock. And a car thief would know every one of them.

But, hey. Passing out steering wheel locks makes everyone involved feel like they’re fighting crime. It will do little good. But that doesn’t matter.

True that they can be defeated. Only advantage is the noise and time of drilling or cutting the wheel lock which supposedly causes most thieves to move on to the next car. Who knows?

I read not only Kia and Hyundai or easy to steal but “Some modern cars with keyless entry and start can be stolen from your driveway in less than a minute” with driving.co.uk saying they know 6 ways to steal those. “CAN= Controller Area Network.
