There are many ways to easily defeat steering a steering wheel lock. And a car thief would know every one of them.

But, hey. Passing out steering wheel locks makes everyone involved feel like they’re fighting crime. It will do little good. But that doesn’t matter.

You bet and nowadays with portable battery powered handheld angle cutter/grinders, they make real quick work of most any locking device.

With the Kia’s and Hyundai’s you don’t need to be a thief - a kid can do it with a usb cord.

A couple of years ago before we got hit with this wave I put two hidden kill switches in my daughter’s Hyundai. But then also put the “club” in to perhaps avoid a broken window and steering column. Hoping that these kids would move onto an easier car to attempt to steal.
