Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) office has refused to confirm Rep. Matt Gaetz’s (R-FL) claim that there will be no reauthorization, temporary or otherwise, of a deep state surveillance tool in the National Defense Authorization Act.

Breitbart News, as well as Wired, reported that Speaker Johnson and Democrat leaders are considering slipping a reauthorization of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), a defense bill that has little to do with government surveillance.

Well, I guess time will tell if the new boss is the same as the old boss

I’m a fan of Gaetz. I read comments that he was supposed to have some sort of plan when he initiated getting rid of McCarthy. The plan was to get rid of McCarthy, one of the slimiest POSs in DC.

While I’m 100% not a fan of Roy, he does make sense in this

The PURPOSE of these tools is to protect America from FOREIGN THREATS.

They are NOT doing that job because they'd rather PERSECUTE LOYAL AMERICANS!!!

Never assume that anyone isn’t owned by the deep state. It’s like the Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

If only we had a Constitutional Amendment prohibiting the government from conducting searches of US Citizens without probable cause brought before a judge where the subject in question had a right to challenge the government in their application for a warrant based on probable cause.

OK..
The rogue judges are the ones responsible.
Period.
Why haven’t these judges been impeached?
The house has that authority, guaranteed by that pesky constitution thingie.
Why doesn’t the judiciary committee, run by our so called conservative buddy JJ, begun impeachment proceedings?

This and Ukraine funding. If Johnson goes along with these, he is almost as corrupted as the other guy.

Thing is people have made over him like he is perfection and people will keep telling themselves he will get better as they make excuses for him.

I wanted him to be the real thing but.... we will see.

Because in the end, after all the blather and grandstanding, all that really matters is keeping the Club together.

I think for many it was just supporting a much needed lesson to these arrogant fools that they are not too big to fail and can be taken down when they don’t do the job they promised to do.

I remember that guy in HS!
He had 2 pen protectors in both shirt pockets, and a slide rule in his back pocket, and an armload of books.

“... refused to confirm ...”

That means nothing. Nothing to get up in arms with at this point.

Yes I know, I am about disgusted out to the point I no longer care.

The train wreck and then the bootstrap tyranny are going to happen because of this kind of thinking.

I guess, we have few uh...victories these days. Problem we have is we keep trying to rely on a single person to fix what ails us.

It is not possible but we will keep the charade going because it is easier that way.
