There are countless celebrities, leftists, etc and/or usual suspects that can be reliably used as a contrary indicator, for personalities or policies. Romney is often one of them.
It saves time, no need to waste it on deep subject dives and research. What does Romney think? Well there’s a pretty good chance he’s full of shit, and the opposing view may well bear further investigation or scrutiny for the particulars.
