New kind of war, new realities, new rules...
No way in hell nato or the US could keep up with this....
These new super tanks must have gronomefesters.
On to Berlin!
For both sides though I wonder how they will keep tanks alive?
What with guided rockets, mines and especially these dang drones that cost maybe a 1000 bucks and armed with an RPG wired to it that cost $300. They can aim right at the weakest armor (say rear or even top) on the tank and damage or destroy it nearly every time.
Seems like the tanks heyday is over.
A tank is just metgal and can be replaced. The idea is to keep the people inside the thing alive.
Why do you sound happy about this turn of events? Or is it a misperception on my part?
And that link took me to a studfinder ad.
Not to mention crosses and rabbit’s foots for good luck. A well placed 155 round can roll over any tank on the planet. But I expect Ivan built that in?

Yeah. They jam GPS for a 20 x 20 km area. Oh, and Excalibur can’t hit moving targets. But the “low tech” Krasnopol can.
LOL the Putinfuhrer ordered 100,000 tons of new tanks and Russian industry delivers! /s
That’s why Israel puts the engine in front of the tank.
The take away is Russia has increased tank production threefold. The West simply can not meet those metrics.
Biden’s sanctions left western nations scrambling for raw materials, Russia has all it needs. The cost? According to Rheinmetal, two years ago they produced a 155mm HE for $842- today close to $4,000…..crunching the numbers show the West is going bankrupt supplying arms- Russia, with its huge manufacturing and commodities surpluses can outlast the West in any major conflict.
Pratt, GE, Rolls Royce , Boeing Missile, Lockheed, and BAE have all stated their severe shortages of metals that were once bought from Russia…….
….and Vlad says Checkmate again.
T-34/85s??
Those tanks continue to be blown up faster than they can be produced or modernized. In both tanks, the shell carousel is under the crew making for explosive ejections of their turrets.
The T-14 Armata is not in production as A) its too expense, B) does not work C) needs tow truck or tank retriever on standby as it preforms in test tracks.

The West doesn't need to increase tank production, it needs to increase ATGM and artillery shell production. Russia scrambling to build new tanks is a bug not a feature - Russia ostensibly started the war with 12,000 tanks but has been forced by combat losses to put obsolete tanks into service. I guess you can credit the Ukrainians with saving the Russians from the time and cost of maintaining their vast arsenal by having blown it up... except the Russians didn't maintain their arsenal.

Too bad you can't use timber or iron ore to guide a missile.

Except Russia is broke. It claims vast foreign currency reserves, except those reserves are either frozen in the West, in completely worthless currency (rupees) or non-convertible and at the tender mercy of Xi (yuan). Chickens coming home to roost.
Except Russia is broke

I almost bust my gut laughing!!! The US DEBT to GDP is 130%…..Russia 17 percent….and Russia’s GDP is rising…..
Yeah, the ruble is up 10%. Now you get 11 for a dime. Down from 60 cents apiece min 2022. Yup! Russia is coming back!!

Is this about the Challenger, Abrams and Leopard ?
