LOL! I remember many years ago 3.2 beer was the only beer that could be sold on Sunday in Minnesota.
Oh the memories or lack thereof.
“I figure each cup of strong funnel-brewed coffee (freshly ground) is worth 10-15 IQ points.”
Yeah, but when my IQ is pushed above 230, I get awfully jittery and mostly useless. That’s the unbearable price of transcendence, I guess.
LOL- me too- loved one always gets in a ‘cleaning mode’ and is always changing the location of commonly used stuff on me- i wander the kitchen for hours trying to find things lol
Must. Have. Coffee. I can quit anytime I want to. Couple times a day, in fact.
I lived near the school track so I went for a long jog once a day to calm down enough to sleep.
Coffee, or as I call it, my cup of alert and oriented.
I am retired now, but I still get up and have about 1/2 a pot to start the day.
I had to cut down on how much coffee I drink, it was affecting my heart rate and BP.
I take this with a huge grain of salt - if totally true, Starbucks Baristas are on par with Einstein and do quantum physics in between making mochas.
I want a slow IV drip of coffee once i am awake. BUT -— I like the flavor of coffee so I am a sipper -— even when it is cold coffee.
I’ve been buying from a church friend some lier coffee from Chiapas. It is good! And addictive.
“”constant jittery buzz””....... school track, went for a long jog once a day to calm down enough to sleep””
One day at college, as I sat down in a corner of the library for hours of study and review, I drank 18 ounces of a Celestial Season (CS) tea called Morning Thunder. Most CS tea has no caffeine. Morning Thunder is the opposite, lots and lots of caffeine. After the 18 ounces I could not study sitting down. I also went out to the track and tried to read while walking fast.
Do we get the same benefit from decaf?!?
Growing up in Fargo in the late 50’s to the mid 60’s I remember that liquor and beer could not be sold in grocery stores-only liquor stores (off sale) which required a local license to operates and bars. taverns, restaurants, etc. (on sale) that also required licenses. And of course none of those establishments could be open on Sundays. I am not sure if restaurants could serve alcoholic beverages on Sunday.

Yeah sure!
Same here. Sadly I live alone.
How do you start a coffee IV? My brain needs it.
Coffee has tripled my brain power. I’m now at an IQ of 80...but still smarter than the Democrats.;-)
