Just a reminder that the Dems have a long sordid history of stealing elections......a former Texas Democratic election judge recalled how he knowingly lied and certified Johnson’s crooked win for Texas senator as legit. .......200 persons who didn’t vote were just crookedly added to Johnson’s total. The dopes even put the names in alphabetically and still got away with it.
The election official admits wrongness now and said that he did it for his party.

The Republicans weren’t involved. This was the Democrat runoff. Johnson won the general election over the Republican by a genuine landslide (66% to 33%)
GOP didn’t much exist in Texas in 1948. They also didn’t have a majority in the Senate to deny seating LBJ in January 1949.
Some people on FR are so anxious to smear Republicans they make fools out of themselves, as you did in this case.
It was a Democrat Primary. You only had to win the Democrat primary to be the winner in the South back then.
In 1948 in Texas? I don’t think there was much of a Republican party at that time.
