I tried it once and said "meh".

NEWS
Is information someone, somewhere, wants to suppress.
All the rest, is advertising.
Case in point...
McRib. So-so but that was a looong time ago. Rather go to my local BBQ place and get the good stuff.
The only thing my family my has to buy from McD is the shamrock shake. It is a tradition my wife has from a little girl. I can take or leave it.
The sauce on the McRib is damn good. It makes the McRib one of the few things at McDonald’s that clearly better than other fast food restaurants offer.
Have ate at a McD’s in 40 yrs.
McRubber
I tried it and threw up. Not close to a decent rib, but cheap if that is what you are looking for.
I got one last week from McDs. My Brother In-Law made his own a couple of weeks back. Dude is a friggin’ artist on a smoker or a grill. He took a whole slab of baby backs and smoked them until he could pull each bone out. Then he sliced open a big French loaf and toasted it. Smear of sauce on the bread, rib meat, more sauce and pickles. I wish I was there to taste it.
I did too and had the same reaction. But I have a couple of friends who get all excited when the McRib comes back.
Just follow the tantalizing aroma of sizzling meat glue.
I don’t understand it either, but I would drive a ways to have one. The bread is soft, the sauce is sweet and tangy not spicy hot, and the pickles are just right. Now I have no way of knowing what that rectangular shape of processed food is but I don’t care. I went to school in the 50’s & 60’s when everything was mystery meat. I don’t eat red meat anymore because it aggravates a chronic condition I suffer from. Just seeing the headline perked me up. I’m allergic to most things Chinese or Japanese, and a lot of American food. But not the McRib! They probably won’t be in our area, we seldom make the list. Too rural.
I went to my local McDonald’s for this. They didn’t have them. I left. It’s the only decent sandwich there. The Big Mac used to be. But now it’s the size of a hockey puck.
I’ve never understood why McRib is only around for a short period of time.
If mcrib is so popular why isn’t it available year-round?
Can you imagine if the Big Mac were only available at certain times?
Or is this all just part of marketing , and they can boost sales when they announce for a limited time only McRib is back?
The McRib is good, reley good. Then it is an experience, a McRib experience. McRib is messy, messy, messy, and there in lies the charm. It is the messy sauce that spills out that makes it good. Napkins are needed .......yummm
Last year it was widely advertised as “the last year”. We complained and apparently prevailed.
Last year I was privileged to eat one on five occasions. On the last order I was told they had sold out....... sorry
I only go to McDonald’s when I need diarrhea.
A sandwich actually worse than Arby’s.
