Asking people to self regulate on something like this is asking too much.

Doubtful they were even residents of that neighborhood, they were probably trucked there to scarf candy from the “rich people”. I’ve heard of people bringing kids to different neighborhoods before; that adults can admit that straight face is telling.

If someone is not home to hand out the candy, turn off the porch light and save the money on the candy or better yet, buy the candy and eat it all yourself :),
